Buying lots of magazines (bullet holders, clipozines..)

There is an old saying, “He who panicks first, panicks best”. So as the topic says, I have bought a lot of mags, and now, I bought a lot more in the last few days. If somehow some legislation gets past by the rino’s in congress, I think mags will be sold out in hours, and prices will skyrocket. W

hat do you all think?

I think you’re probably spot-on.

For those who might believe it “can’t happen here” - recall that the Northeastern States that are essentially Totalitarian Regimes collectively fought and won a War against a World-Encompassing Superpower-Empire, over less restrictions than they’re currently imposing upon their “subjects”.

It’s Totally Happening, as I tap this out. And opposition to this is a tiny group of shrinking violets scattered amongst our Elite Overlords.

Just curious what will happen to all the mags if they pass laws against mere possession of high capacity (whatever that really means). What can you do with them other than burying them in the ground? I have several for my guns but nothing extreme do to this reasoning.

Mags are the same as expected wear parts ie: roll pins, gas rings, bolts/BCG, trigger/hammer springs and upper/lower part kits, buy them cheap and stack them DEEP. Most of us will be able to grandfather in whatever items we own currently, with lots of items not having a manufacturing date. I buddy heaters in the summer when it’s 90 degrees out and places are selling them at half the cost vs winter months, every trip to Wal-Mart, I’ll grab a 5 pack of bic lighters. Why, because having a ton of supplies that are super common and necessary to daily life, when they suddenly disappear due to supply issues, work force issues or whatever BS reason “they” tell us, it’s good to have stock in life saving items. Same goes for water, being able to purify water, some extra food on hand and being able to stay warm/stay cool when/if the power goes out due to a storm/old infrastructure. That may sound Crazy to some, but if something awful happens, and I’m still breathing and moving, I sure as hell want to be able to at the very least be able to provide some food/water and warmth for family/self and friends.

My understanding is, the existing mags will be grandfathered and we can keep them, just no more manufacturing or importing will be allowed. So basically what you have, is what you have. I just checked PSA and put 5k gen2 pmags in my cart and it was going to let me check out… but, there is no longer a discount available and no free shipping. I also checked primary Arms and they say they are sold out. So I bought 20 aluminum mags (from PSA, and I bought 50 pmags three days ago from PSA) because I don’t have any left from letting them go with ARs I’ve sold. In other words, I would get what I think I need pretty soon.

That’s what the guns are for if it goes that far. My family has nothing to worry about.

Yeah buddy, I agree 100% Luckily, my parents were always well versed with firearms and taught me well. I’ve done the same for me and mine. I’m minimally prepared, couple weeks worth of water/food and a little propane grill and canisters, buddy heaters for the winter if things go out, extra lighters and batteries and flashlights. To me, this is all a normal stuff each and every individual should have on hand. I can always take to the woods and procure some meat, hit a local stream or river and have us a catch and cook. It’s good to be able to at least purify some water in case the city supply goes out, good to be able to have a nice set of knives to clean some game and have a way to cook it with/without power. Never know what can and will happen.

You shouldn’t have taken that mag out of the plastic. Those are selling on GB for $100+

i know they used to do that back in 13, but are they now? seriously?

eta: you had me going there. i had to go look at gb just to double check… lol

That’s crazy, I just bought them Saturday from Big Daddy guns, I bought all they had left (17) because they were a limited edition. Hopefully all this BS will just go away and we can return to the new abnormal normal.

and the PSA store in Charleston had plenty of Pmags for $9.99.

well if they did have pleanty better start buyiin up the mags yall need… sadly. i think we’ll see 2013 all over again when it comes to a panic.

I took full advantage of 2016 to 2020. PMAGS and D&H aluminum for $6 each at times. I also have a bunch of Troy mags with pink followers and pink lips on the side (now scratched off) because they were $5 each.

Hey can you guys produce canik mags?

Why are you letting the a-holes in government take away your God-given right to the 2A? We fight back…civil disobedience is the name of the game. Otherwise, they will be emboldened by your wanting to follow their illegal law and pass more restrictive laws. Where do you draw the line?

There are too many firearms to keep a large quantity of mags for each one. 1911’s are not an issue as the grabbers aren’t going for 8 rounders. How many should a person have for the rest?

The MWG 90 round is a great magazine.

I would like to see them offer an option to hold the 350 Legend, which is not quite as tapered as 5.56/223.

The MWG 90 holds 5.56/223, 300 Blackout, and 300 Hamr.

Though I can only fit 80 rounds of 300 Hamr in the MWG 90.

Useful way to store bullets … just have to remember to label them.

I panicked right after The Great Usurper Bidet was announced as “winning” the 2020 election. Ive been preparing ever since, and I wasn’t starting at zero even then.

Things are already starting to get tight on some things. Other are temporarily cheaper, since retailers don’t want to get caught holding inventory they’ll have to destroy.

I’ve, for a long time, bought swimsuits in the winter and jackets in the spring, because I’ve always been relatively sure another summer and winter were following…
