Got out with a few buddies I’ve not seen in 3 years. National forest South of Siligman, Az.
Small range session with steel targets out to 70 yards. Edit to add: 2 in attendance had PSA products, everyone enjoyed at least a mag through my Dagger, LPVO on my parts kit AR was ringing steel at all distances.
All NFA regs being followed on supressors and SBR’s.
Got in some bushcraft skills practice, medical stop the bleed, radio w/antenna build, 5.4 mile hike and leisurely camp time.
Packed up and ready to roll…
We all walked away refreshed with time away from our daily grind.
Already planning a fall get-to-gether.

Nothing like that fresh air accented with the aromas of camp fire, outdoor cooking and Gunsmoke. I used to love using my 22 to harvest a few camp squirrels rapped in foil and roasted. I do covet your camp experience.

Aside from a flock of turkeys in the area we saw no wild critters.
We all had .22 rifles just in case.

Heck no!
Only a bunch of meat eaters at this event.

With a 22, you have to just clip the turkeys at the rear, which starts the dressing process and doesn’t damage the veggie-meat lol. Of course turkeys have excellent eyesight so if within view of camp you have to freez each time they look around the pop when they’re foraging looking down.
