Welcome aboard but that is seriously bad advice if the property falls too close to a school or otherwise restricted area.

If that is a Christian school adjacent to PSA store then yeah that would explain the US Code on the sign and rules near school grounds, not confusing then at all very strict laws, Federal. I do believe it is a school with a soccer field right in the PSA backyard.
Fair enough - certainly a lockable case is better than a holster.

Generally speaking, if a person is headed to a PSA store and not to/through the school this should be a non-issue (with a CCW permit) but in general common sense often doesn’t prevail these days.
When I was growing up I remember hearing my elders talk about the days where they put a 22 rifle in their locker so that they could take it and squirrel hunt right after school. Talk about those times sounding wild these days! 
Rules are rules and IIRC that store is within the 200 yd limit here in SC for a school.

I would not just walk into a store with my firearm in my hand anyway, they don’t know me and they sure don’t know my intentions or even if good intentions I could be a dummy who didn’t check the chamber. Good way to get un-healthy by other patrons.

The PSA store I go to in Ridgeland, SC says no firearms unless in a gun case/bag.

Most gun shops I visit say no loaded firearms allowed in the store.
I suppose this is for people who don’t intend to rob them. Armed robbers will also turn around and leave after reading it…

A guy here accidentally shot himself dead at a Pawn Shop getting gun out of his car.

while i remember having rifles in the back windows of trucks,i havent ever heard of anyone taking it into their locker!! wow, that is a truly different time than anything we experience now.

The store is only 700 feet from a school, so it falls under the State law.
