Colorado AWB BS

It’s finally happened.

I’ve already written a handful of letters…

A lot more writing is in my future.

Not that it matters with a Super Majority, but I’ll write until my hand cramps, and donate as much as I can to the cause.

So much for the Western Frontier being free. It’s a far cry from when I lived in the SouthWest in the 90s.

Hopefully a good lawyer can argue using Bruen to a 2a friendly judge.

If this passes it kills my new found hobby of AR building :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Sounds like RMGO (?) is on it and they’ve had some recent success from what I read earlier today.

Yes and no

They bungled the magazine capacity limits

Hence I wanted to hear from a local.

I’d like to speak highly of them, but I can’t. I’ve been a member off and on.

They’ve been of little benefit to us. Not sure what you read…

Just their “PSA” for lack of a better term. I’m reading now what you posted. Seems to follow CA if not worse. Am I reading it wrong? If I’m interpreting right Glocks, Rocks, Daggers, and a whole bunch of stuff is gone. That line about “anything protruding past the grip”.

It seems to be a copy of California, New York, Illinois

Including the venerable 1911.

And semi auto shotguns

And threaded barrels…

And I sure haven’t seen anything about a Grandfather Clause

Not that I’d EVER support it if there was

I don’t support anything about this

I didn’t see that either.

Didn’t RMGO get two local AWBs in CO struck down by Obama judges? Reach out to GOA and FPC. I’m sure they’d love to get a good AWB case out of the 10th circuit

They received TROs in Boulder county, and I believe in Superior.

It is widely believed however the the Colorado Supreme Court will overturn that, regardless of SCOTUS rulings.

We need SCOTUS intervention pronto. The Colorado legislature is on a tear with anti 2A legislation.

Yea it seems like they’re passing this similar bill around. Were just slightly ahead of you, and seems to be going ok so far… Someone also decided to sue the state over the suppressor ban (that has been around for some time) since they are declared in common use as well. Keeping fingers crossed, MacGyver optimism, and Yoda hope. Just about every sheriff in the state seems to think the awb wont stick, nor are they going to be arresting for such unconstitutional law. Hope the best for all of us going through this bs.

And the price gouging has commenced.

Just left my favorite AR 15 store with springs, detents, and castle nuts for 2 lowers…

$64

Thanks for being OOS PSA :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Paid 1/3 to 1/2 that before depending upon circumstances.

At least 30rd DuraMag SS AR47 mags were reasonable.

Ish :expressionless:

Some good news early on.

Rep. Andrew Boesenecker, D-Fort Collins, was listed as a first prime sponsor in previous drafts, but his name is no longer on [House Bill 1230]

(https://www.leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb23-1230), which is sponsored by Rep. Elisabeth Epps, D-Denver and Sen. Rhonda Fields, D-Aurora.

The local news is reporting that this bill faces an uphill climb to the governor’s desk with democrat support dwindling or not as strong as anticipated.

Time to fire up the keyboard this morning once I articulate and draft a logical response.

Who am I kidding? Democrats don’t follow logic, only feelings. :joy:

Pressure is building :+1:t3:
