My dagger crucifix and striker dont engage 100%. More like 60%. Compared to my glocks, they engage 90 -100% so does anyone else have this kind of engagement with there daggers?
Btw…have 2 daggers compact and S model and both are the same.
That’s something OEM Glock’s encounter too. That’s (part of) what leads to the high variance in trigger pull. Always check it on any Glock or clone. I haven’t measured mine in percentage but they are safe. Watch Johnny Glock’s videos to see about checking them for safety.
Yes I’ve seen Johnny Glocks videos. You can also change parts to remedy the situation. And Johnny also shows videos how to tweak them. But I was wondering if it’s common among the daggers
You need an orange armorers plate or similar to observe the “sear engagement” on the cruciform at rest.
Ideally should be about 2/3 engagement- but that is visually subjective (like different peeps will read the same analog dial clock differently). You may want to check GlockTalk forums on this one.
Every Glock or clone is different. It won’t always change the pull. Can put the same parts in two Glocks and have different results. I find this to be the case with connectors all the time. Everyone says X connector is great and still gives you a clean wall on the pull, but so far only OEM connectors have for me. All aftermarket ones just roll through for me.
I agree, i use a “•” connector, and get a clean 5lb pull. But i was going for achieving 90-100% engagement. Heres a better pic.
You got 90% + engagement. Why do you want so much?
50% is good enough on a Glock.
But now you are super safe.
Yes…90+ now! Not before…50% is not 2/3 (stated by you) Thats at least 65% . All my striker fired weapons (glocks, s&w, sig, xds, fns) are at least 80+ engagement…prefer that way.
I installed a p80 trigger and new connector today. Much better engagement over what was factory. Reason for doing this is i had a double where the striker bounced over the trigger bar. Also installed new springs (Lantac S kit).

My son and I have been going back and forth over a Glock v Dagger purchase. I keep trying to steer him towards the Dagger based on hand feel and ergos. We’ll see how it ends up but so far I’m losing in this discussion with him.
I have a very early dagger and it has been fantastic. I attribute mine simply to wear as i have used it alot. Yes, there were some early issues, but i have complete faith in what PSA is putting out.
Honestly, at this point the Dagger is a pretty refined pistol, all initial bugs having been worked out. You can get a Dagger for $300, plus shipping and transfer fee. A G19 gen3 around here runs $550. Call the Dagger $350. You can buy a lot of ammo and mags for $200.
To me, if the Dagger and Glock were the same price, i would get the Dagger. It fits my hand better than a Glock.
Ended up with a Dagger.
Excellent choice in my opinion. Nothing wrong with Glocks, but prefer Daggers.
