Does anyone else agree/hope to see some custom cuts in the Compact X long slide, just like there are in the regular/“Compact” slides? Or possibly even a 5 inch barrel/slide assembly with similar cuts. Also hoping to see the long slides offered with optics options just like the others. I can’t be the only person who wants to see some of those options for a more full size Dagger.
I’d love to see some long slide options. Even if it’s just more plain long slides. I have a Compact X and it fills out the full size grip so much nicer. Not sure it’ll be soon though. If I’m reading the stats correctly, the Compact X barrel is the same length as the regular Compact threaded barrel. So, a threaded barrel sans threading,I guess. That’s a little easier to do than a whole new length.
Yeah, that’s the route I’m about 99% sure I’m gonna go with if I decide to get a Dagger. I have my choices narrowed down to either a full size Walther PDP 4.5 inch, a Shadow Systems DR920 Combat or maybe Foundation, or the Dagger. The Shadow Systems DR920 Foundation is about $80-$100 cheaper than the Combat line. But with the Dagger’s price point, they seem to be good for decking out the way I’d want them to be. And I already know I love the ergos on the Dagger, but still plan on getting Hogue Handall for it if that’s the gun I end up going with.
@dtfrankel79 hmm… understandable, so what I’m reading is… obviously get this dude:

BWAHAHAHA!!! Bro, my wife would chop off my you know whats & hang em over the mantle if I spent that much!!! ![]()
I have around an $800 all in budget. If I get a Shadow Systems that’s NOT Foundation series, it’ll be the DR920 Combat from Bud’s Gun Shop for $698+ the $30 transfer fee from my local gun shop. Then I still have to get an optic. Now, I’d be fine getting a Swampfox Justice ($160, also from Bud’s & the cheapest I’ve seen it ANYWHERE), but literally EVERYONE, on EVERY forum (with the exception of literally 1 person) has crapped all over & claimed is garbage, leading me to believe I’ll need to drop @ least $244 on a Holosun 407c. Then another $45-$55 on a good quality nylon owb holster since I can & do open carry (I live in TN), & will be using the nylon as a stopgap til I can save up MORE $ to spend on a decent locking kydex holster. Oh, & a halfway decent cleaning kit.
Now, yes, the wife has REPEATEDLY said, “I want you to get what you REALLY want” but by no means does that mean START OFF with a gun that’s almost $1k. Plus everything else listed above. If I end up close to or at $1k with everything when its all said & done is 1 thing. But for that to be my starting point in another. Besides, we’re closing on/moving into a new house in March, so we have moving expenses, gotta get ceiling fans, fence in our yard, get blinds & curtains, etc. So again, I’m trying to be mindful. After all, you know the drill:
Happy wifey, happy lifey! ![]()
well, i got a glock because it was only $600… now $1200 later idk if you shouldn’t just start right there to begin with saving time and probably a couple hundred dollars…
edit: i mean it all gets put on the same credit card eventually
imo, dont get an rmr get 3dot nights… or yea atleast something like $250 for the cheapest rmr
Yeah, I was thinking either the Viridian or the Tacticon.
don’t want an optic or light just a nice pistol and clean ammo… but i do love my compact dagger sw4 very much
oh, that in compact x… yes i agree with op but, without rmr cut
edit: this combination makes so much sense and makes the 3dot nights even better
and 26… the micro is super awesome. however a clean 26 clone would be the best pistol imo
