Yes, I would like to know if these Compact X Slides will be back in stock anytime soon. I’m on the notification list, waiting patiently. But please hurry!

I’ve been waiting for what seems like an eternity for 'em as well. I’m sure that with the Sabre Dagger release (& everything that led up to it) they’ve been STUPID busy. But I, too, wanna build my cheap G49!!! Be it with a compact Dagger or finished SCT19 frame.
The only other option is the gen 3 G19L slide & UPK from Brownell’s, which is about $170. However, you still need a barrel. I found a gen 5 G17 Faxon fluted & threaded barrel on Optics Planet for about $80 using The Humble Marksman’s coupon code, “HUMM” for 15% off. Finally, you need a recoil assembly, which I found from NDZ for like $16. My LGS can put the slide together for me for roughly $50-$60, & I can thankfully put the barrel & recoil assembly in myself.
Oh, & sights. I found some Ameriglo optic compatible fiber optic sights for $60, again from Optics Planet.
You can use PSA’s recoil assembly as well, whichever is cheaper would work fine. I hope you didn’t go to another place thinking you needed a G17 spring though, you don’t. Like a G48/G34 etc, there’s only an overhang on the slide, it stops earlier inside to take the shorter recoil springs of the same model for the original frame.
So G34/17 spring, G48/43 spring, G19:/G19 spring.
I mention this cause I have seen countless people think you need the longer spring for those kind of extended slides.
Nah, I looked up a recoil assembly for a gen 3 G19. Lo & behold, NDZ had 1 for $16. So I’m 1000% cool with that! 
Sounds like you’re good to go then. I’d also love for PSA to make more standalone Compact X slides. Then again all my holsters are for the normal 19 slide, and I don’t have the money anyway. These ideas companies come out with are what I want from the start, but by the time they actually make it, I already have the standard model.
I was told at SHOT that they didn’t have any plans to do the X slides again. Just not enough interest. I was hoping for a windowed version with threaded barrel.
