Dagger accessories

What accessories has anyone found that with well with dagger? I am talking holsters grip tape mag wells triggers mag releases anything. I understand that “most” gen 3 Glock accessories will work but I want to know what “most” means. Do p80 or Glock 19 accessories work better? Please help everyone not just me.

There is already a holster thread that you can check out. I have a slide from Arm or Ally that works perfect.

I’d distinguish between parts and accessories.

I’d say “most” OEM Glock and aftermarket G19 gen3 parts are compatible with the Dagger. There are a few exceptions. Rear rail. Hybrid locking block / front rail. The Dagger striker is not compatible with OEM Glock and aftermarket slides / breech blocks. The trigger housing and locking block pins are not compatible.

The compatibility of several accessories is tied to the unique ergonomics of the Dagger grip. These accessories include holsters, magazine releases, magwells, and grip plugs.

As @GuitarGuy mentioned, there’s a holster thread.

The Dagger semicircle-shaped cavity at the bottom of the grip is smaller than the OEM Glock G19 gen3 cavity. A grip plug intended for an OEM Glock G19 gen3 will not fit the Dagger.

With the unique ergonomics of the Dagger frame / grip, a magwell intended for an OEM Glock G19 gen3 will not fit the Dagger. A high-end, black-anodized 7075 aluminum magwell is in the works and should be available shortly. A 3D-printed magwell has been in the works for almost two months and nothing has materialized yet.

OEM Glock and aftermarket magazine releases / catches (intended for use with an OEM Glock G19 gen3) may be functionally compatible with the Dagger frame, however, with the unique ergonomics of the Dagger frame / grip, aesthetically OEM Glock and aftermarket magazine releases may be a poor fit (i.e., not flush).

Thank you so much. This is the type of response I was looking for but haven’t seen yet. I guess I was referring to parts more than accessories. This was an informative and well spoken response. I can’t believe how many of these types of posts are on this forum. It’s so much better than most.

You’re welcome. I spoke mainly in generalities and my response should serve only as a starting point for other forum members to build on (and correct, if necessary). You could dedicate an entire thread to the countless aftermarket G19 gen3 triggers and extent to which they’re compatible with the Dagger.

Which is exactly why I started this topic because there are not many threads about this topic. Most only focus on holsters. Thanks again.

I bought the frame w/o a trigger and built mine. I have the Apex Enhanced Trigger and a Strike Industries LiteSlide. As PSADaggerFan said, the PSA striker doesnt work with most aftermarket slides, although I cant tell why without a mic. All of the rest of the parts in my slide are PSA though.

The tip of the Dagger firing pin that extends through the breech face is slightly wider than OEM Glock and aftermarket firing pins. I’ve yet to use my cheap digital caliper to measure the exact difference.

It would be interesting to hear from PSA as to why they felt the need for a proprietary striker. Obviously, it must provide some improvement over OEM Glock and aftermarket strikers.

I’ll have to find mine and measure it. Its not enough to notice by eye. I’ll see if I can get an answer about the difference though.

I’ve created a new thread for this question since it has gone unanswered.

I received my first Dagger 9 w/threaded barrel yesterday. Not a fan of the forward rear sight. Is there a rear mounted optic or undermount laser that anyone suggests ? Kind of leaning toward a laser but that causes issues with holster …suggestions ?

Forget the laser. Depending on which optic cut you have, either get a holosun (rmr cut) or vortex (doctor cut). Add a tlr7a light.

Has anyone installed a compensator 1/2x28 threads?
Geoff
Who is trying to justify a suppressor…but it’s a lot of money and $200 to the BATFE.

You will run into a lot of potential issues by hanging a compensator on the end. Cycling issues, spring changes, etc.
