Has anyone seen fitment problems with Dagger slide and barrels from other manufacturers?
some people reportedly have had the mag dropping while shooting problem appear after putting in after-market barrels. There’s something with the geometry of certain makes of locking lugs that in the Dagger smack the front lip of some mags, kicking them out of the gun. Doesn’t take too much - look how shallow the magazine catch grooves/shelf is on a Glock magazine.
i’ve had zero problems with my dagger and aftermarket barrels. in fact its got only one barrel, and that is an aftermarket threadedi got from AIM sports i think if memory serves.
I have been researching this on Glock forums. Apparently some barrels are “drop in” ready and others require fitting by a gunsmith. Match grade barrels tend to fit tightly and “lock up” to the slide to improve accuracy. However this lock up generally applies to the top and bottom - ejection port and lug. The slide sides and barrel shouldn’t “rub” against the barrel as pictured above.
My question is: which part should be modified - barrel or slide?
Barrels are cheaper than slides…
Not necessarily… I have a couple of barrels that cost more than any of my Dagger slides.
If you do the slide, it is then fitted for the barrel. If you do the barrel, it is fitted for the slide while allowing other barrels to also work.
I agree with you on the course of action. Was just commenting that not all barrels are cheaper than the dagger slide.
my purple lone wolf barrel works great, i also use glock oem mags no issues. just goes pew pew pew everytime i ever pulled the trigger just about right at the same spot each time on them little targets about 40yards
be careful with some of the readings on the web. theres one in particular thats on that site you may need to be careful of, and the things that is posted by them… but overall glock forums are helpful for the most part, theres just one with a weird stalker hardon about this pistol that may not always have the best for you in mind.
how can you go wrong! thats awesome. good job.
Couldn’t have said it better myself
.
pfffft they cant shoot on that site… you can post a target with a basketball sized grouping at 10 yards and they will complement you… i still love glock, but i carry a dagger now because it upsets the bugmen.
plus my dagger goes pew pew pew seriously no joke what’s a better feature? isnt that why ultimately people grew fond of glock? not the aesthetics but the fact it went bang everytime you pull the trigger? that’s my absolute favorite feature other clones seem to forgot about.
Will a psa dagger replacement barrel work in a glock 19 gen3?
yes. it will.
Thanks man
