Paul was great and answered a lot of questions i had before i made my order.
Very nice!!
How does my comment get shut down when I say who makes great holsters but not this one? Who did that slide btw, I love it! Check these guys out btw! Added thru Facebook and they have been amazing for all my holster needs!

i believe that is a PSA slide, they did some that way.
not sure why your comment was shut down.
It’s all good. The company who did my holster (Bordertown Holsters) is a family run company out of AZ, I’m in PA but I said “check out my boy “ so they thought I knew them personally. They just treat you like family so it felt that way, haha. It’s all good though. I wish I could find a sweet slide like that. Was looking at the skins but I don’t think I could do a great job and I’ma perfectionist so considering sending it out or having someone I know do something for me, just not sure what yet.
well you can get the slide here when psa has them in stock : American Flag
now there are quite a few variations so just look there on the psa page under dagger slides and you can find quite a bit.
How is that optic working for you and which one is it
Got the hydra from d2. Overall fit and finish was good however missed the positive click retention. Noticed it was open without much material at the triggerguard area. Was it the same for you? Faq did say tlr1 or 7 is friction only so could explain. Did have to tighten quite a bit down on and holster with some gusto to properly lock in. Wanted to see if u had same experiences
My holsters have been great from them I have one for the Dagger without a weapon light and it has a strong positive click. When inserting. I also have one for my PSA Rock 5.7 with TLR1 it doesn’t click but you can feel the holster gripping the light when inserting it. I just tightened the screws down until it gripped the light enough to secure the gun. Around the trigger guard on my TLR1 holster it has plenty of kydex covering the sides of the trigger guard from the rear you can see into the trigger guard but it’s that way on all my light bearing holsters even my Tier 1. I assume that has to do with the channel they have to create so the light has somewhere to travel through.
D2 Tactical has great customer service and a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. You might just email them if you feel there’s an issue with the holster.
I posted in a much older thread as I missed this sticky but my favorite holster company makes holsters for the dagger that includes options for threaded barrels and lights. QVO Tactical Plenty of options for fitment, aesthetic options, cloth selections, etc… they also have an OWB option as well.
@mkkeller63
Good to know because mine without the adjustable tension slider does not.
Welcome to the forum
@d.gordon07
Looks like it will serve it’s purpose.
Just curious…
Has anyone found a kydex or termoformed plastic holster for the Compact X slide?
I need to check my leather working patterns, i had an OWB for G19 at one point but, the 1/3 low co whitness sights and optic were a no go so I may try that.
Edit to add, ive dabbled with kydex/holstex so i might give mine a go. Not done apendix IWB before, though im not opposed to ordering the belt clip and stand off wing to tuck the grip into my belt line.
Thanks. First week with the Dagger in this rig and just got into the Dagger community .I wanted something quick and simple. Time will tell if it will hold up but Im going to rock this setup for a few weeks and see how it treats me
welcome to the forums! glad to have you!
Thought I’d share because I was wondering about the length, before the purchase of griffin armament’s micro carry comp, compared to the factory thread protector. With my Warhorse holster the thread protector was flush with the holster and this is how far the comp protrudes from the holster. Negligible. I couldn’t make the pistol lose retention either by pushing up on the comp while holstered and I was pushing pretty hard.
