Thanks for the great overview/first impressions! Can’t wait to get my hands on one.
i piked up my dagger friday. i am soooo impressed with it i cant stop saying how good it looks and feels. i cannot wait to go out and shoot it. PSA really did a great job with the whole package. the fit and finish of the gun is impeccable and the packaging is very well done. To me the gun feels like a 5-600 dollar gun and the fact they are selling them for only 299 is amazing. I will have to buy a few more especially when the threaded barrel and rmr sight cut out slide guns come out.
No pics then it didn’t happen. We need more dagger porn to look at.
It look like PSA has updated the slide w/ Carry Cuts and given the dagger a new SKU number.
What update are you talking about? Any pictures to detail the differences?
The rear of the slide is cut with a larger 45 face to reduce slagging on certain holsters. No pictures but you can compare with the first post in this tread with the newer version on the website.
Appreciate the review…I’ll be on the lookout for availability. PSA is tops at affordable quality.
Thank you for the comprehensive review. Hopefully they’ll be available this year for the casual online orderer like myself. Wondering how the Dagger will fit in my Safariland ALS G19 holsters…
i’m sure thye will. just going to take time to get them to meet demand with the supply. as for the holster, i’ve heard they fit most g19 holsters fairly well… some are a little tight due to the grip being a bit more robust than a standard g19, but other than that, most fit quite well ive been told.
i have literally been trying to order the Dagger since october, I get on the site a minimum of 5-6 times a day, this past friday I just happened to get on the site and was able to order one, just waiting for it to arrive, my wife asked why I needed it because I already have a Glock 19 Gen 4, told her i just wanted it, love my AR15 pistol that I got last year so i hope that it is the same quality. What a great birthday and fathers day present it was being able to order the dagger, just hope they really make it a great birthday by adding a second magazine.
“The same reason you have 17 pairs of shoes!”
I saw them available last friday as well, but didn’t have my card info saved on the site… by the time I copied and pasted it into the form… they were gone again.
This has happened to me quite a few times on this site Hyatt Guns and Budsgunshop as well. I could literally watch the item disappear by the time I input my card info. Heartbreaking.
so I took my Dagger to the range today;
feels good in the hand when firing.
put about 150 rounds of Blazer 115g FMJ through it and no jams, misfeeds.
biggest issue was the trigger pin worked its way out about 1/8 inch. seemed to click back in when I pushed it back into place. will see what happens next time out.
at 5 and 10 yards was giving a good group where I was aiming.
overall for a $299 gun worked really well
Picked mine up at the Greenville store today. Gave it a one magazine trial when I got home. This little pistol feels great. I still can’t believe the price. Wife liked it too. She already got my Sig 229, so if she wants a Dagger she can buy her own.
Is it just me or does the trigger feel a little mushy? I was hoping for a cleaner break. Anyhow so far so good?! Maybe some Brownell love will make me happier!
Compairing it to my brothers shadow system, i preferred the full size dagger in my hand.
And at half the price, its a not hard math to do.
Now too decide between building another Dagger or try the psa 5.7 Rock
there was a buy one get one almost free sale on a stripped dagger and Rock 5.7 lower.
to good to pass up, had to get them…
