Hi everyone, I went and shot my dagger today for the first time. I zeroed the Holosun HS507C-X2 Pistol Red Dot Sight - ACSS® Vulcan® Reticle with no problems, it was of just a bit down. My questions is should I change the suppressor iron sights to 1/3, leave them like that, or swap them for the tall Trijicon for visibility? The ones installed now do not bother me at all, in fact, I did not see them at all when I was shooting today, I was concentrating on the target instead of the Vulcan. I am leaning to leave the ones that are installed. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you.
I like saving money so I’d keep the factory ones. One of my Dagger’s now doesn’t cowitness cause of a tall optic and adapter plate (Holosun 509T). However I can tilt the gun up a bit to find the front sight if needed, and do a combat hold for closer shots.
The factory sights my optic cut one came with were 2XL height from Ameriglo, which PSA lists at 1/3 height on the product pages. Did yours come with the low/stock sights?
My came with the tall one and they co-witness with the red dot perfectly.
Your optic is your main sighting system, the irons are only there as an emergency backup, and you said they co-witness just fine and don’t bother you.
Leave them as is and save the money.
Good morning, thanks for the advise. I will do that thanks. This is my first optic on a pistol, my EDC is a 1911. I have optics on all my AR’s and rifles, never on a pistol, thanks bud.
