So got my Dagger (standard model, green cerakote finish) about a month ago and it was dropping the magazine out like every other shot regardless of magazine type (Glock and Pmags). Called PSA Repairs line, described the problem and they shipped me out a new barrel and replacement mag catch/spring. So replaced them, took it to the range today and put 150 rds (incl. 15 hollow points) without one mag drop or any failures at all. My suspicion is that it was a problem with barrel geometry. The mag catch did not look any different than the replacement, but the new barrel is very different. Pics below; replacement barrel is on left in all pics. You can see the muzzle crown is way more beveled on the new one, but what I am hypothesizing was the culprit & fix was the geometry on the locking lug on the underside of the barre. Notice the replacement (left barrel) has a shorter angle cut on the side facing the feed ramp, and also has angled facet cuts on the side of the lug which the original does not have. The caliber markings on the two barrels: replacement has “9MM” stamped on top at rear; original has “9X19” on the side.
