I was thinking about ordering a dagger and was just wondering if the problem with them dropping mags is fixed or not before I order…
Its fixed and it is a very small sample of daggers sold.
Uh, all I can tell you is my personal experience; I got my Dagger ordered and shipped mid February 2022 (well after this problem had been reported by numerous people) and mine was dropping mags right out of the box. See other recent threads on this topic. PSA sent me replacement barrel & mag catch which seems to have fixed the problem at least on SOME brands of magazines.
I’ve got two Daggers and they function as designed. I didn’t even know there was a problem with dropping mags.
Have no fear! This problem was identified and corrected fairly quickly in our manufacturing process over a month ago.
@Anthony_PSA, how do I find out the status of a warranty repair job?
@PFunk PM sent
I have a Dagger that I bought Nov. 2021. I put about 80 rounds threw it. It was flawless. I decided to
put a Grey Ghost precision threaded barrel on and a PSA rmr slide. Now the mags fall out on every shot. Magpul and Glock.
Its probably the barrel.
Barrel works fine in another gun.
They will fix you up. Thanks for replying via the IM.
i’ve got 2 daggers. 1 i built with a non psa barrel. one that i bought complete. both were in the very first waves of daggers being available for purchase both complete and as a complete frame. neither have ever exhibited any mag drop issues. I’m not saying its not a problem for certain people, but what i am saying is that if it is a known issue they have a fix for it and it hasnt been a problem for a long while on production guns.
I blame the operator ![]()
What exactly was the problem that had to be fixed on the Dagger ?
There was an issue with the dimensions on a batch of locking blocks that what wasn’t within our specs. Quick swap and the guns are good to go.
I’ve put 500+ rounds through my Dagger, just like my glock except way less expensive, better stipling and grip angle, improved the trigger gaurd and trigger(once broken in) I’ve had zero failures, mag retention is fine. The only problems I’ve heard of are the walk pins on the frame have been reported to move a bit after a couple thousand rounds(I have not personally seen this, but I’m sure that if that’s the case, just buy 2 so you’ll have one while PSA takes care of it like they always do if ever an issue) and lastly they sell out like the PA10 so damn fast!![]()
The ONLY problem I’ve had (other than getting one) was the walking pin….saw all the online videos but no solution. I studied it for a few minutes, went to my neighbor and got him to install a Glock slide release….voila! No more traveling pin
Overall a great gun…more perfect than the “Perfection” gun
I purchased a dagger October of 2021. Initially put two magazines though it without issue. Went to the range this week. Dropping mags every few rounds. I do have the witness marks on the front of the mag from the feed ramp hitting it. I contacted PSA through the chat feature this morning. I explained the info from this thread. Lengthy back and forth with an rep that did not know what a locking block was and she couldn’t find it on the exploded view of the gun in the manual. I asked to have one shipped to me but since she could not find the part she stopped replying. I did not want to ship the gun back if at all possible. Is there an actual part number for the locking block?
Thanks.
@Anthony_PSA or @Josiah_PSA might can help.
Please IM me your order number. I will get you taken care of.
Thanks,
Josiah
