I have a .300 Blackout with a 10.5” barrel and noticed some discoloration the other day after having been at the range. Right behind the gas block there is a brown soot on the barrel and the handguard to some degree. I know gas blocks can leak and more than likely this might correct itself after a few hundred more rounds but was curious if anyone else had something similar and if they had seen it improve after more use. This is a newer build so it only has close to 200 rounds through it if that helps. Thx!
Completely normal. It will seal itself. If it worries you, you can check the screws or pins (however its mounted).
