Gen 6 Glocks

As I was watching this video I couldn’t help but think…

“So they made a Sabre Dagger of their own.“

That is all.

Pretty much.

If harsh stippling hurts your hands, your bloodline is weak and history will forget your name

I shoot with my mind.”

New Glock texture looks like it’ll be slightly better though since it’s a 360° wrap-around. The Springfield Echelon seems to be the only Glock based gun that had it first.

PSA, Shadow Systems, and Ruger have good texture they just couldn’t figure out that it needs to wrap all the way around.

The day one Sabre Dagger I’m holding right now has the stippling on all four grip surfaces.

It’s not continuous (360). It’s only at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions.

If I lose purchase due to those strips that’s on me not the pistol.

I was out shooting mine today and it was dead nuts with a cheap red dot by Strike Industries.

They actually figured out that it doesn’t need to wrap all the way around

Finally got to handle one today, does feel pretty good and some more grit on the grip and finger rest but honestly nothing about it that would make me spend well over 100 more dollars over the Gen5 still out there. But little nicer I guess. 630 bucks right now, suppose they will come down later.

Wait a Echolon is a Glock clone? Much of this going around. A PDP is a crazy similar Glock copy. So is my P10F to an extent. Earlier poly/striker pistols were trying to be more unique.. Obviously these aren’t exact clones so you can’t swap pieces between with Glocks like Daggers and P80’s, but they are very similar. People can hate, but Gaston must have done pretty good. Even the modern field strip is the same with these new models.

I think the GEN6 looks good. It looks like they took ques from Shadow Systems. Everything from the optics cut, to the beavertail, to the texture for the thunmb rest on the frame, to the higher cut under the trigger guard, to the trigger shoe. It makes me think they took notice of what SS has been doing right.

Just picked this up at Fernandina. I digs it. If it ends up being reliable it’s the nicest OE Glock I’ve every seen. Some trigger work and nicer sights, and this thing would feel as nice as a Shadow Systems, unless you just need fancy/ aggressive slide serations. I haven’t shot it yet, but it’s definitely nicer than a GEN5 based off initial impression. I love the higher grip and beavertail they added. It begs to be gripped high, and that was never even an issue with Glocks, but it’s less of one now. I think these will direct mount an RMR footprint optic? Very good is so, and I don’t have to use a mid-plate. The flat trigger shoe doesn’t feel much different unless you’re thinking about it. It’s a very Glock feeling trigger, down to the safety being very pronounced on the finger. It full recesses inside the trigger, but doesn’t really feel like it does, as it has pretty stout spring pressure.

Anyway eventually I’ll eventually do some trigger polishing. Maybe a 3.5 connector. Probably a light. Not sure if I want to DOT it, but if not then some nicer night sights.

The Echelon isn’t a true “Glock Gen 3 compatible clone”. It just looks REALLY similar on the inside as far as the internal parts and mechanisms go.
