this is my favorite gun, so far. i got a glock 34 gen 5 from psa (oddly enough it came with 10rnd magazines, lol but i used the baseplate inserts to customize some 33round magazines and tossed the rest away) i got a vortex venom sight also from psa, tungsten guide rod, red extented controls, apex trigger with ghost edge disconnector, taran tactical magwell, and 19round magazines i made a few black ones myself from 17rnd magazines for aesthetics then i bought a bunch of the tan 19x magazines already finished.
Never thought I’d own a plastic gun, bought a Gen. 4 -19 and now just purchased the 43x
i’d say my favorite glocks are the g3 30sf and the g5 19x
they fit me the best i think and i’ve owned just about every glock out there by now… or at least a representative of every size of every glock.
i agree with you about the 19x… but i also like the 30sf it fits my hand just as equally good as the 19x.
Got my first Glock, the weight seems off till your loaded and ready
what are you comparing the weight to?
Non-polymer body handguns, doing the breakdown of my glock was really shocked by all the weight in the slide
I was never a big Glock guy until I bought a Gen5 G19 . I 'spose you could say I’m a fan now after shooting and carrying it. I like it so much I sold my SIG 320 in order to buy a 43x for a new concealed carry pistol option. The problem is I can’t find a 43x in stock anywhere…
PSA had a deal of the day a couple days ago on the 43x for $499. I missed the email and the opportunity to pick one up as they sold out very quickly. Lesson learned - pay attention to those PSA deal of the day emails!
the very first handgun i ever bought or owned was my Glock 21. Knowing what i know now, i wouldnt have ever bought the 21. I would have bought a 30s. Ever since i got my 30s, ive been in love with it. it carries so well, and has the right feel. I’m a 45acp guy mostly so thats why i love it so much.
That said, I also have had 17’s 19’s 22’s 23’s 27s 30sf’s as well, and out of the 9mm / 40cal i prefer that 19x the best. followed by 19s and 23s.
Now that i have a PSA Dagger, I must say, i love it more than my 19s. the Dagger has a better frame grip all around when compared to the glock 19 3rd gen. which to me is the best gen of the glocks anyways. So as far as EDC carry, its the 30s for me.
yeah the dagger has a steel guide rod from the start. Its pretty cool that it did come that way. the gun is just awesome in how it was thought through and how it feels in the hand. it pretty much is a better 19, in all manner of things.
Just stepping into the Glock world, PSA had Glock 19 gen 3 on daily deal for $499 So I bit. 15 rounds mag is the limit in Colorado do to The Denver metro socialist voters… I am much more of a long gun guy so I’m a bit behind the curve on handguns, thought a 15 round glock would be a good 1st dive into polymer pistol protection
my EDC right now is a 6 + 1 .380 so this will be quite a step up . . . . . I’m really looking forward to seeing how my older eyes do with an extra inch of barrel to sight down as well.
Are the used Police Glock 21’s worth the trouble ?
They’re cheaper and from the descriptions, some of the parts are very worn down.
But the Glock 21 - 13 bullets in a 45 ACP magazine - whereas the typical Rock Island 45 ACP has 8 bullets.
Not sure how the Glock 21 fits that many bullets …
the magazine must be longer
DUH
Here is a picture of my Glock 20-10 mm, 15+1 and the magazine does not protrude from the grip. The Glock 21 is of similar dimensions as the Glock 20. I have purchased Police trade ins and they were good. Snatch em up if you can Glock Police Trade ins sell out fast.
my first handgun was a gen 3 g21. i love it… but dont get me wrong… there is alot to be desired… my hand isnt quite large enough to be totally comfortable on it all the time… however the g30s now that is a great fitting handgun in.45 acp. it doesnt carry quite as many rounds as the 21 but its got a decent capacity and a great feel to me. If i didnt have a g21 already, i’d be all over those police trade ins.
Here is my G20 Gen4 with a KKM Barrel and Compensator. I will never use a factory Glock Barrel ever again, Just the accuracy and no worries about ammo goes through it.
maybe im odd, but ive never had an issue with my glock barrels being unaccurate. I also do not generally modify my glocks though either. hell i dont even mess with the triggers. the most i do is if it doesnt have night sights i’ll put them on them, and i’ll put extended controls on them, for takedown and for slide stop … Even with building my dagger, i opted for the basics instead of going all wild with it. idk maybe its a personal preference thing…
like my 19x, i dont think it needs anything changed on it, actually like the gun as itis… same as my 30s and my 21, lol… i guess im odd when it comes to glocks.
Ugly glock. Gorgeous groups.
agreed!
Why I like my GLock 42 - it measures 5.94 inches in length, 4.13 inches in height, and is pretty skinny at 0.94 inch in thickness. The carry gun weighs only 16.6 ounces loaded with one in the chamber and 6-round single-stack magazine capacity (14.0 ounces unloaded). Like a stealth helicopter in Zero Dark Thirty, it can hide.
