Get it off your chest ! 😔

@19foxtrot

Ours had a fire due to someone using tracers on the range. They rebuilt and made it 50cal safe, jacked prices up during covid, then couldn’t sell a thing because they hated PSA. Closed the doors in 2022.

Big strappin’ Bearded-guy, looks manly-man…. Until you pull out that dang Needle, and point it at me.

I’ve drawn blood, given literally a couple thousand injections to others - have had uncountable cuts, smashed fingers where the nail turned black and fell off, even performed minor surgery on myself digging metal and wood outta my own hide… all without hardly a flinch…. but that Needle Phobia Frikkin’ gets me nigh every time.

Last time I needed an IV I extended my arm, turned my head completely the other way, and closed my eyes. The nurse said ā€œis the pain going to make you freak out?ā€

I said ā€œthe pain isn’t the issue. Stick it in and cover it with a bandage, please.ā€ She said ā€œwe don’t cover IVs with bandagesā€¦ā€ and I replied ā€œdo you want me to stay calm or not?ā€

She stuck that thing in without issue and covered it with gauze and tape. Wouldn’t open my eyes until it was done.

It’s so stupid. Pain, not an issue. Seeing a needle go inside me and my own blood come out = lose it.

Good thing I don’t have a needle phobia.
I’ve been stuck probably a thousand times.
I give myself B12 injections :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Same, I have had some serious cuts in my life and looked and said cool that’s a tendon and bone, can watch you get stuck with needles like a pin cushion I see the needle in me and it’s timber and lights out.

I always got to look away…its not the needle, its not the blood, its hearing less than capable vein whisperers talk about it when they duck up.
My last three draws have been good two of em i didnt even know they poked me. Wish a guy could just request whom he was getting jabbed by regardless of who/what/why ordered tests.

I get quarterly blood draws for lab, monthly for PT/INR, and I give myself 2 injections monthly. The first time I ever had an IV, I had 1, then 2, until I had 5 (which still puzzles me). If I ever had an issue with needles, it’d be gone by now!

Blood draw labs are every single month at a minimum for me and self injections once a month for B12.

I could care less about getting stuck

Unless they start digging because my vein has rolled away

Stick me 30 times, but you better not dig for a vein

Then we have problems…

Apparently it Tastes terrible but it’s supposed to help yep b12

Yes sir to both @cncgobrrt

Ohh I absolutely agree, no digging :face_with_head_bandage:

Funny thing is - it didn’t use to be that way. Then one day, I had blood drawn and next I knew the Nurse was trying to bring me around.

I got Nothin’.

Filing my taxes again :unamused: oh what fun

I had that thought the other day as she struggled to get my vials filled, ā€œwhat if I pass out right effin now and that needle does the Charleston, the jitter bug, and pop and locks it way deep into my arm as my 260 lbs bulk slumps forward onto the maybe 98 lbs tiny probably 19 years old fresh out of nursing school lab tech?ā€ she hadn’t even started learning nurse type small talk.

my wife does our taxes  haven’t had to do my own since she started working for the state revenue department.

I meet my cpa on Monday

I have rollers too.

Not fun
