Palmetto has decided to fully get in bed with and back the communist state of Washington. Washington state currently has zero laws nor any planned on the books that ban the ordering of ammunition online and having it ship to you personally. Instead of palmetto trying to continue to try and support what little rights we have left with products we are allowed to have, they have decided to just jump right in and take things a step further then the state by banning the ability to order and have ammo shipped to Washington’s residents. Its bad enough to have a state restrict some things, but to have a company completly decide to restrict items that are not restricted is garbage.
It’s not PSA’s fault, contact your legislators that voted in favor of stripping your rights on turning your state into a blue state sh!thole. Also, they are fighting for our 2nd amendment rights.
You forgot pretty quickly how they prioritized shipping to you guys a while back while the rest of us had to wait in line behind you. Most on here just waited patiently and did not bash PSA for supporting you guys. (At least I don’t recall seeing a rash of posts in that manner.) They have a whole compliance department that I am sure would happily look into this matter should you ask respectfully.
I went and looked and here are the restrictions for ammo:
Washington State
PSA will no longer accept or ship orders of restricted items to the state of Washington pursuant to HB1240, effective immediately.
No parts kits
No build kits
No rifle kits
No pistol kits
No complete uppers
No completed lowers
No stripped lowers
No essential kits
No threaded barrels
No sales of Automatic Knives
*No Drop-Ship Ammo*
Unfortunate. Washington used to be a really nice State. For that matter, so did California…
100% agreement, having been raised in one and spent much time in the other visiting family.
As I understand drop shipping, that means the ammo is not stocked by the seller, and the order is fulfilled (drop shipped) by another vendor. I don’t know what ammunition PSA sells that is dropped shipped, but I would assume all AAC ammo is manufactured in house and shipped by PSA. As such, it would not be “drop shipped”. I imagine there are also other ammo brands PSA sells that are shipped by PSA.
That’s the way I understand it as well. They have a bunch of different ammo that is fulfilled by partners.
Actually this one is completely on Palmetto. There is zero laws in washington against purchasing of ammo online and having it shipped to your home. Palmetto has decided to do this on their own rather than actually read the laws and support customers.
That is not Washington law. That was an internal decision by PSA because they were to lazy. Rather than work within the few restrictions on firearms, they decided to go above and beyond what our laws restrict and just flat out stop all sales of firearms and ammo.
Please read the restrictions I listed.
“Drop ship” may be the problem. What kind of ammo OP?
Btw, Washington State requires ammo shippers to be liceansed in their State. My money is that a) they were denied or b) it opens them to lawsuits or c) its simply impossible to meet the state requirements.
My thoughts exactly, it would be labor intensive to constantly monitor their partners policies and a nightmare of oops, we can do this one but we can’t do that one…
Also I did not forget their claim of prioritizing shipments. But I do know dozens of people who ordered during that claim were either denied the purchase or it took weeks to get even a single message as to whether or not it was going to be shipped to the point that it was stopped do to being past the date accepted. PSA is not fighting squat and would not even try to offer a letter of support during different challenges both before in congress and after the fact in courts. They support by mouth but zero actions in fighting against these things.
What ammo?
You live in a state that has restrictions on ANYTHING firearms related.
Either see about changing the restrictions that your state has imposed, move or deal with the consequences.
Maybe buy local!!!
Ill ask again…what ammo OP?
Almost every box was AAC branded. I went thru the order and removed each different box until the message disappeared which made it even more interesting as it was only the aac brand of 5.7x28mm ammo and one varient of fnh 5.7x28mm ammo that seemed to trigger the cannot ship do to restricted message. What really does not make any since is why the restriction shows in the first place for one caliber of AAC ammo but not the other another. Either way the whole restriction is a crock as there is no law that restricts buying and receiving ammunition on line in Washington. If they want to show that they truly support those in the state they should correct their website to reflect the restrictions and be specific as to the exact items so that there is no second guessing as to which item in the cart is restricted.
There is no longer any firearm stores in the city of seattle, nor anyplace in the city that sells ammunition. Outside of Seattle the smaller shops are being forced to shut down do to the outrageous new rules and security measures required to do business that our congress put into place. That leaves very few of the larger ones open that have that ability to try and serve the greater community which has strained what meager variety there was since before covid. Even Cabela’s is now down to just 3 rows out of 10 for ammo variety. Most of whats on the shelf is obscure calibers. Reloading supplies are also almost nonexistent. Unfortunately the liberal smucks in seattle control most of the state and congress.
