Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Spent the afternoon with my girls (14 and 10) shooting. They both shot my Heritage .22 and my dad’s Walther 1911 .22. My oldest did pretty well at keeping it on paper and hitting a can.

(No, we are not just shooting on wood. Bags of sand/dirt are behind the target stand).

Happy Thanksgiving! I need to get my daughter out to shoot her heritage and 10/22 soon!

Start them young

Took baby girl on her first hunt today. Pop pop and her didn’t see anything, but she’s having a blast. I had about the best time I’ve ever had in a stand watching four non-shooter bucks for nearly two hours. Highlight was the little pencil horn yearling and the 1.5 year old 4 point locking horns for the better part of 20 minutes just before sunset about 60 yards away.

When my Goddaughter had her first child I was the first one to give my Great Goddaughter her first gun. She was a month and a half old at the time. I gave her a Beretta M71. I also gave each one of my nieces a M71 before they went off to college. The M71 to me is one of the best made .22lr pistols. It is very concealable and very accurate for it’s size. I am looking foward to the day that I can teach my Great Goddaughter to shoot her M71.

@GuitarGuy after deer season I’ll have to get you guys over to shoot steel at my place with my oldest! Would be fun!

@E_Stew my youngest got up the next morning and said “Daddy, can we go shoot some more?”
