Has anyone exchanged a PSA item?

I ordered a green laser. They sent red. I sent it back to be exchanged for the correct item and clearly marked the return paper as exchange, not refund. They refunded the money anyways.

I asked the CS lady via Email if they are going to send the correct because I want the right part and dont want my money back. She never replied.

I mean I guess I got my answer. Refund only even if you dont want it. Has anyone successfully exchanged an item?

Closest I’ve ever came was when they crossed shipping labels with another customer and sent me his order and him mine. I had ordered more and I hadn’t even opened the box and the guy called me bc my packing slip was in his box as well. Made my order short a few boxes of ammo and naturally his more. I called and they refunded the difference and when I asked about having to pay twice for shipping they gave me a code for 20% off on my next order to cover that. IIRC they let him keep the extras. BTW from our talk he was the one to tell me about the Rock and I told him about the forum. I think he signed up the next day. Not really an exchange but they wouldn’t just send me a couple boxes of ammo.

I was fine with that as I ordered a way bigger order since I had the code.

Yep. Customer service handled it wonderfully and quickly.

Although it might seem strange to us, looking in from the outside, I can see the logic for PSA giving a refund and then having you order what you want. They no doubt do hundreds of transactions per week. Doing them all the same way, using the exact same process so everyone is doing the same thing no matter which employee is on the job, reduces both errors and delays by simplifying and streamlining the process.

The CS rep has to worry about one fairly simple transaction: sending you the shipping label and processing the credit. Next!

It’s basically: you learn to do something one way that works, stick to that one way and do it very, very well, and then don’t mess with success.

Because so many people seem to be “amazon customers” these days, doing exchanges just would slow down the process for PSA CS. Imagine a guy wanting to exchange a black Dagger slide for a grey one. Then you give him all those great choices for different cuts, port patterns, colors, now the camo options. It would probably take some people all morning to decide. And remember now: you are the guy sitting on hold waiting for this clown to just pick something already and get off the darned phone so you can get your business taken care of.

I think the K.I.S.S. principle is very apropos here and such simplicity is, strange as it sometimes seems, the right way to go.

I absolutely agree thats why they most likely did it like that. That’s pretty much why I was asking for others experience.

I was hoping since they messed up, they would make it right. Now my worries is if I do the same thing again and reorder, they will do the same thing again and send the wrong one.

If they weren’t in a rush and paid attention, CS wouldnt have to take that approach you layed out. It also wouldn’t make CS be so busy.

I used this saying at work all the time. “If you dont have time to do it right the first time, what makes you think you’ll have time to go back and fix it later.”

Oh well, not mad, just wondering. I might just pass on the laser thou.

I ordered a pair of the PSA custom 3.5lb flat bow triggers. One was super nice, the other had a ton of creep before it broke. I emailed CS and they had me send it back and shipped a replacement. Went smoothly for me. Sorry you had trouble.

Not too long ago, I ordered some D&H magazines on sale and they sent me PSA ones. I sent them back for refund. The PSA and D&H magazines are exactly the same except the imprint on the floor plate but that is why I wanted the D&H ones: the “Oconomowoc, WI”
part of the imprint. It’s a personal thing.

Now if I want to get more of these mags, I won’t order them from PSA because I have this idea that they’ll make the same mistake again, like what you were saying. Maybe that’s dumb but it’s a “once bitten, twice shy” thing I guess.

In my case, I probably won’t worry about getting more 30 round aluminum mags anyway, now that I have discovered the allure and magic of the aluminum, 20 round, straight magazines.

They did this to me , i orderd a psa sw3 slide and they sent me the wrong one , ordered another one the next day so I didn’t have to wait fir them to get my product to ship me a new one and they sent me the wrong slide again . All customer service wants to do is send me a return label and want me to order another one so that one shows up wrong for the 3RD time
