Wrong gun sent

I hate to have to do this but i order an romanian underfold and was sent a romanian but with PSA nutmeg furniture. Monday i contacted customer service and they sent me two different emails. I have replied and followed everything pre email. Its been two days and havent heard anything and both emails say two different things as for what to expect. One email states they will send out the new furniture but the other email states they will send a pre paid ups for return, i also never receivedthe pre paid. I dont and didnt ask for a return, just want the furniture for the gun i original bought. Just looking for insight here for i am not getting anything from emails.

This is the gun

@Anthony_PSA or @sean.psa may be able to help.

They may want the furniture you got back, hence the return label.

Finally got the ups label on friday. The emails i receive are very generic and doesnt actually said what i need to do for my return. So i emailed them again ask what am i returning? The whole gun, just the handguard or is the new one in the mail? They replied saying “The whole gun so you can get the correct one yes sir”. I then email them back- Will I also be compensated for the new transfer fee? Pretty unfair I have to pay twice because the “correct” one wasn’t sent the first time. That was on the 25th and i havent heard back from them. Im not expecting much out of this after the way the whole process has been going. Very sad because i spent a lot of money on PSA this year and that will all come to an end. Pretty crappy when you buy a gun online and the wrong ones sent and you, you the customer has to filp the bill for thier mistake smh.

Im glad they are going to do it. If memory serves me correctly, you do not have to go through an ffl for a repair, so they can mail it back to you. @SuperPredator can correct me on that.

Also, as a future reference, dont accept the gun at your ffl if it is wrong. PSA can issue a return, it wont cost your FFL and it wont cost you. But the minute you do accept it, its yours and you pay.

They’re sending me a new gun, the “correct” one. So yes it would have to have to b sent to an ffl.
Also as a future reference i didnt know they sent me the wrong wood, i didnt realized it until i actually ordered an nutmeg gf4 and then saw they sent me the numeg romanian. So thanks for your .02

They might change the furniture and send it back, which wouldnt be a change in serial number. That is what you originally wanted as i read your original post.

Guy just stop. Im telling you they are sending me a whole NEW GUN. Yes i just want the furniture. They are NOT doing that. They are sending me a WHOLE NEW GUN.

Update us when you get it back. Im simply trying to explain how they may do it. In this thread you have had lots of info, and some it is hard to understand exactly what you want/they are doing.

Its hard to understand whats going on because no one explained it to me until i asked on the latest email. When i originally called i stated i just wanted the handguard, because of the build i have to send the whole gun back and a new one gets sent out. Im upset because i shouldnt have to pay again for their mistake.

I totally understand. That’s what im trying to explain. They want the gun back, and what they may do is configure it the correct way. That way the serial number stays the same and keeps you from having to pay another transfer fee. Trying to help you out here. While they do say “get the correct one” that could simply mean a furniture change. I dont know for sure…the goal is to get you the customer what you ordered.

This is correct. Individuals can Send and receive guns directly to and from the manufacturer without FFL intervention.

Many people opt to go through an FFL though. Idk why; there’s really no benefit to it.

Except for maybe the FFL. You pay them for their services. I charge for the outgoing, but the return trip is free because no 4473.

+1, this^^^^ all day. In fact, it’s quite a testament to a company willing to work with someone after they’ve accepted the transfer. I’ve never heard of any retailer doing this. Most have myriad disclaimers stating not to accept the transfer if anything is wrong and won’t work with you thereafter, especially for what are purely cosmetic reasons.

So it says a lot about PSA trying to make things right post transfer -even going so far as to reimburse for the second transfer fee. To that end, it’s hard to understand how anyone could be so upset about a few canned emails when the retailer is slow to respond, yet very proactively working the issue. :man_shrugging:

That’s exactly how it works here in Ohio so long as it’s the same firearm / serial number. Even holds true for NFA items -shipped right back to your front door.

Yeah I seen that comment before it was deleted. My momma told me if you don’t have nothing nice to say then dont say nothing at all, so I skipped right over it.

I dont understand why people make a profile for the sole purpose of slinging 4 letter words around in hopes it will get them to the front of the line?

@ OP: Customer service is not of the forum and this forum doesnt exist just so you can complain.
