Bought the SP-6 tonight. Wasn’t necessarily looking for another folder. The machete has a saw back so can’t use it to split wood in a pinch.

correct, got it and love it. Thinking about a paracord wrap on the handle with a lanyard imcorporated. Any of you guys try this?

I’ve tried a cord wrap on a few knives with handles, it never worked for me as the grip became too big. I do have some wrapped skeloton handles.
Esee Izula, beker knife and tool
The ESEE Izula in tan had the same cord wrap until mid last year when I got the factory scales. About 7 years use with the cord wrap on the tan one. The extra thickness in the tan scales is more comfortable for longer carving sessions, though it does not carry quite as well as the cord wrap did.

Good point, I can see where it could get out of hand pretty quick. I’ve heard you mention you have big hands as well so, thanks for the solid!

Remember I wrapped my OKC 3S bayonet because the handle was dark brown and I wanted FDE to match the rifle.
The paracord substantially increased the diameter, but I used 550. There a a bunch of thinner diameters that may work better for knife wraps, I just haven’t experimented with them.

Decent. 8mm is (counting both sides) is .320”, not much.

Mike, being a former employee of OKC, see if you can twist their arm and get them to make a sheath for the 3S bayonet, That hard scabbard it comes with eventually disintegrates and falls apart.
Something with a belt loop.
Please and thank you. Bonus point if you know of something already on the market that will work. I haven’t been able to find anything.

What’s the blade length on the 3S? Profile looks the same as the SP-6 except yours has the serrated edge.
