Nice. May have to give those 135s a try. You may have the unicorn of AK-Vs my friend. I also have a 16 in AK-9 that runs glock mags. I have similar issues with that gun as well. Steep feed ramps seem to be a common thing with that platform.
I tried Freedom Munitions 147 grain JHP today with no issues. I may try Hornady or Federal HST next since that is what most people tend to use. I’ll just have to find some place that has them when I get paid next. Sort of spent my limit already this check with ordering 500 rounds during Freedom Munitions latest sale.

IMI has come out with a +P version of that 124 grain Die Cut HP and they even have it cheaper than the original. It’s probably overkill in velocity for the V, but thought I would pass it on.
I shot 35 rounds of LAX 135g “X-treme” hollow points. Some rapid fire and had no issues. Unfortunately, i found out after I bought these that they’re not really for self defense. They are for match shooting. Probably better than FMJ though.

I have had FTF’s with hollow points. Aluminum case.
Can you post the type of ammo it was?
Report on HST 147gr: 2 FTF out of 35 rounds.

I’ve shot 147 grain subsonics out of two AKV’s so far suppressed and no malfunctions (less than 100 rounds). They were FMJ not hollow points, not sure if you were specifically asking about 147 HP’s or not.
I’ve been using Sig 124gr V-Crowns without any issue.
Been a while since this thread was active but I’ll add my experience testing out 147gr HST’s.
Mine won’t chamber a round from a fresh mag when using the bolt release. The round catches the feed ramp on the nose, deforming the nose of the round.
But, it will chamber a round fine by racking the bolt manually, pulling back and releasing, and will also fire just fine.
So, my guess is that there isn’t enough clearance for a round to feed from the bolt lock position, but enough when the bolt is retracted or fully “open”.
I tested 80 rounds in total. Two failed testing just the bolt release. Four chambered fine racking the bolt manually. No failures to feed when firing.
Works for me.

Fiocchi 124 FMJ is all I have shot through mine - no feed or eject issues, 4" point blank between 5 yards and 25 yards, and there my testing stopped. That is all the distance and accuracy I need - all offhand, not goin to be protecting my home using a rest 
. The IMI die cut HPs look very interesting, I am glad for the link to those - never saw them before.

147 grain are typically flatnose which is a good test for hollowpoints, but testing hollowpoint ammo is what we endeavor to do for each other.
