Pretty sure i need an adapter plate, correct?
What type of adapter plate do i need to use with this combo?
Definitely need a plate, you can find plenty of adapters sold on Ebay for pretty much any optic cut to any other optic.
RMR cut to Holosun K cut plate. You MAY be able to get an RMSc plate to work, but they are not all the same. Also the optic is going to sit higher with the adapter. I’d go direct mount where possible unless using an enclosed optic with a crossbolt mount.
Technical info and an annoyance with PSA marketing. RMSc cut was the original, Holosun came out with the side battery tray K optics, which had to modify the optic footprint to work. The front lugs are a bit shorter and they removed the rear lugs. Some guns state they are an RMSc cut but they are the modified K cut, which WILL fit both the Holosun K optics and the original RMSc ones. But a to-spec RMSc cut will not fit a K optic without permanent modification.
Holosun K cut>Fits RMSc and Holosun K optics.
To-spec RMSc cut>ONLY fits RMSc optics.
I went with the DPP on Amazon for my compact and 407k. Thin and lightweight.

That plate looks really nice but man that would be a pain to look for. DPP is an optic. Delta Point Pro.
What do you mean “pain to look for”?
DPP is the name of the company who makes that plate.
If you try looking up DPP adapter plate you are probably gonna find a lot of Docter cut plates, cause that is the footprint that the Delta Point Pro(DPP) uses. Naming your company after a red dot, then making adapter plates for other red dots is probably gonna make it harder to find exactly what you want.
You’d have to know about the company beforehand then look up DPP xfootprint to xfootprint plate to find them first try.
From researching, it was the best all around plate that is available for the price that I could find.
No it is one of the best plates I’ve seen out there. It’s very slim, so minimal height increase, has threaded posts to make up for the slim plate so you still have decent thread engagement. Titanium so it’s strong for the thickness of plate. I see nothing wrong with it’s construction. I’d even consider getting one if I had the money for a Holosun EPS.
My only gripe was with their name being DPP. Most don’t call a Delta Point Pro the entire name so just like RMR actually means something, you always see it called RMR. Now imagine if a company making adapter plates called themselves RMR.
