New Dagger , and Holosun question…

I just bought a Dagger yesterday online. It’s the compact with SW1 slide and rmr cut with the lower 1/3 sights.
I’m new to Glocks/ Dagger, AND optics. When I saw the rmr cut, I assumed that a Holosun would fit.
I ended up buying a HE-507K X2 and now I’m not sure I bought the right one.
Will this fit the Dagger, or did I need to buy the 507C?
Sorry for being a bit dense here. Not new to guns at all, but new to this….
So will this work?

Theres an optics thread floating around that you should check out. If the 507k is rmr then you should be good. Not too familiar with holosun but that thread should help ya out

Thanks, I saw that and I’m still not sure about it. I was hoping for someone who actually had one and had it mounted to a Dagger…

I use the 508 on my RMR slide.

The “C” series (407c/507c) have the RMR footprint.
K is compatible with Shield RMSc/RMS/RMSw/SMS footprint.

Thanks Jimmy. I’m not sure why I couldn’t find that, but thanks!
This sucks, I have the 507k Green with the ACSS reticle ordered from Amazon, and I guess it’s going back once I get it.
In my defense, until 2 days ago I never knew much about them, but it’s really not an excuse. I should have done my research……
Thanks again!

Look on the Holosun website.

this thread helps Dagger and RDS compatibility

Thanks for the link. I wish I had found this forum BEFORE I bought the K.
When I return it, I’ll definitely get the 507C or 508T. Now I just have to figure out if I really need to get the ACSS Vulcan reticle. I’ve never shot anything with that type of RDS, but when I see people speak of them, most really like it.
Wish they made the 508T with the ACSS……
Thanks everyone for the help with this. Can’t wait to get my gun!

All depends on training and your personal experiences. I never had a learning curve going from irons to RDS, especially since I always shoot both eyes open and target focus with irons.
ACSS will help you find the dot if you present a bit off. But there’s also some that like the 507C because of the circle dot reticle. I like the 407C because it’s 100 dollars cheaper, is dot reticle only. I don’t need the circle reticles, which drain more battery and cost more.
But my friend loves the circle dot.

For “need” I would say no. If you train with just a dot reticle, you can get it. I personally feel the ACSS will be a crutch, as it helps you correct a bad draw, instead of learning a good one in the first place. So you will learn that you can draw with your dot off the window and just correct it every time.
If you really need help finding the dot, I have found that using your front sight helps a lot. If it’s tall enough/cowitness, bring your front sight up into the window and aligned in the middle of the window, you’ll find the dot.

Good ideas and advice.
My 407K arrived yesterday from Amazon. It’s going back, and I REALLY wanted to play with it and look through it just for shits and giggles, but I told the Amazon rep that it would be returned without messing with it. ( it’s from Primary arms and I want it to be unspoiled for them to resell- I like them as a company)
Now I have to wait for them to receive it and refund money, as I had gift card money that I’ll be using for the new one. PLUS, I’m patiently waiting for my Dagger to arrive at the FFL
The waiting is the hardest part……

What the fasteners did you use for your HS 508T, HS provided or PSA provided? For me, the heads of the PSA provided fasteners did not sink into the recess mounts of the 508T, and there was movement of the optic. I ended up using the HS provided fasteners, with of course some blue Loctite. Been to the range twice and the optic has held. I am not 100% comfortable with the mount as the HS fasteners seemed considerably shorter than the PSA fasteners.

It’s direct mount so the HS ones are fine. I (think I) used the longer looking ones that HS provided. PSA’s are too long and will bottom out in the screw holes for the Holosun’s deck height.
I had a 407C but they are the same besides material and hood shape.

To be safe when using optic screws on Glocks, take your backplate off, and when the right side screw is all the way in, see if your ejector plunger moves freely. You can also remove it beforehand and see if the screw sticks down into the channel. That is what you don’t want.

You should be good with the Loctite, if you applied your own. I trusted the preapplied dried blue stuff, and it came loose. I prefer vibratite though as it’s harder to overdo and end up stripping the stupidly tiny screw heads that every company uses when you try to get them out. It’s always held, and always come off when needed. Seems to cure and hold way faster than Loctite too. I took mine to the range just a few hours after and it held up.

All of the various foot prints make for a very confusing mess. I ended up picking up a Sig Romeo Zero Pros to go on a thin single stack Beretta only to find out that the “Pro” version is for full sized slides.

has anyone had an issue mounting the holosun 407c to their dagger? i purchased one of the holosuns off of amazon and the screw holes are not lining up.

I don’t know if it is the optic or the slide with the issue

You need the K version iirc. The C version is for micro’s.

K version is RMSC/Holosun K cut, for Micro’s. C version is for RMR cut.

Ah, thats right, i had it backwards. You sure you have an RMR slide?

mann i just looked back at my purchase it looks like it has a DOCTOR CUT not the RMR!
