How PSA describes complete lowers: SBA3 lower = pistol lower?

Hi all,

So I’m looking for an AR pistol lower, go to pistol lowers and all out of stock. Then I notice in AR lower category there is a lower described not as a pistol lower but as an SBA3 lower, which, I’ll be honest here, confuses the heck out of me. Is that the same as a pistol lower? If it is, why doesn’t PSA put it in the pistol lower category?

Given the ‘rules’ and definitions changing, and injunctions, etc, I figured I would ask the people here.

And since all posts need a bit of a rant, what is up with the inventory/availability not matching up, and by that I mean an item is out of stock if one goes to look at it from the home page graphic/link, but if you noodle about the site you can sometimes find it available? I’d ask through the PSA chat messaging system, but they cannot help with inventory questions, which is another rant entirely.

Anyway, thanks for listening to the ramble, and if anyone can clear things up for me, I’d appreciate it.

Hope that helps.

The website has been undergoing some updating lately and selling pistol lowers again with braces came right in the middle.

:sunglasses::beverage_box:

That is the lower I was referencing, yes.

That I can understand, so it is safe to say that the lower that Hucklebearie and I referenced is indeed a pistol lower? Anything special I should do when having it transferred to my FFL?

Again, thanks.

tell them to make sure and run it as a long gun and you’ll be fine

Nope. Your FFL will follow the rules.

I ordered one on Black Friday picking it up today from the PSA Ridgeland store.
