Have you noticed? Have you noticed how the things you want but are out of stock. . . are in stock, and maybe even on sale in gray?
Want a particular Forend Grip? It’s out of stock in coyote Tan & black, but it’s on sale in Gray.
Can’t get that strap you want in black? But they have had Gray in stock for weeks?
I just picked up two small parts that were $32 each. . . or $19 each in “Stealth Gray” That’s $26 dollars in savings over color. It started me thinking, if I had paid zero attention to color on my last 2 builds, how much $$$ would it have saved me?
Maybe? Probably? I didn’t really care what color it was, but based on the specs I wanted (other than color because that wasn’t a “spec” to me) my first pistol build ended up being gray based on price and availability. The matching AFG I could not find in gray forever. Then all of a sudden PA had it on sale for less than any other color.
Ended up giving everything the Krylon treatment anyways shortly after
I feel ya Brother, I think I can buy about any gun I want. . . . with the understanding that if the Wife likes to shoot it. . . . I’m buying her the same gun in stainless steel.
Well, it started as a Stopgap. But It’s grown on me like a Tick. She is my Goto whenever I need to shoot something. ALWAYS gets noticed at the range - she’s been fondled and shot-off by more strangers than the local corner-streetwalker……
(ain’t gettin’ THAT’N outta yer heads, areya’s?)
(Thanks, BTW - she Likes compliments like a Stripper like $20 Bills!)
