ive pulled my hair out with there phone number and getting nowhere and there chat that doesnt make a bit of sense. Is there a real phone number that you can talk to a real person and get an answer??? This is getting old.
I can probably get you in touch with the right folks. Whats up?
i filed a return or whatever you call it last tuesday because my gun started dropping mags and they havent got back to me.
that general number i havent seen and ill try it this morning. the 887 number doesnt allow you to talk to anyone real. It gives you a spiel about using the chat and hangs up on you. I hate this age of tapping on phones. I used to be able to actually call psa and get there service dept. there quick service is why i always came back and bought more.
A return or a repair?
Anthony all i want is the parts to fix the mags from dropping. I can easily install it or them. I worked on MANY glocks. psa got back to me this morning and i told them just that and they havent got back and now i accidentally deleted there email so im back to being in the blind again.
@lws43 We will get you squared away. I asked because two very different teams handle returns vs repairs. I want to reach out to the appropriate folks so that they can get you the correct info. So it sounds like you are wanting to have it repaired. I will let the repair team know to reach out again since you lost the last message. They will probably ask you to send the firearm back in and provide you with a UPS label to ship it. This is a pretty busy time of the year so give them a little bit of time to reach back out.
cant they just send me a replacement mag release i can put it. Sure would be a heck of a lot easier for both of us. I appreciate your help sir.
That will be up to the repair team based off of what they believe the issue to be. I can have a mag release sent out to you, but can’t guarantee that will fix your issue.
i heard of others having this problem. Does replacing it fix it? Can i put glock mag release in it and would that help?
It can actually be caused by a few issues. I’ll PM you bc I’m going to ask for some sensitive info on the gun.
Post the actual solution when it’s fixed
If it’s the mag release, yeah, you can drop a Glock mag release in there and call it a day.
However, it may not be the mag release at all. Some of the early Daggers had a known problem with the locking block being out of spec (or more technically correct, I would suspect that the combined tolerances between the barrel and locking block and the position of where the block fits in the frame, etc, when all stacked together were out of spec). This created a situation where the barrel came back a whisker farther than intended and impacted the front lip of the mag on recoil, causing dropped mags.
You should be able to look at the front lip of your mags and see if you have any impact marks. Also, if you pull the slide hard to the rear with a mag inserted, and then push back on the tip of the barrel, see if it goes back far enough to touch the mag.
If all that looks good, then yeah, look hard at the mag release - is it engaging solidly? Put a loaded mag in the gun (preferably an extended mag), grab the mag in one hand and then gun in the other, and pull them apart; does the mag catch let the mag go? Is the mag in there so tight that Thor couldn’t budge it?
The third thing it might be, check your grip, do you have a finger that sits on top of the mag release while firing? That would seem odd/unusual to me, but it’s not unheard of that some grips place them thumb in a way that lets it impact the mag release on firing (or some people have the same issue with the slide lock).
Might be worth your while to look at those 3 things before you ship it back to PSA. If it’s the barrel-contacts-mag thing, send it back to PSA. If it’s a mag release not locking good or your thumb hitting the release on firing, you could probably sort those out in short order without having to ship the gun back.
With apologies to PSA if anything I said there was out of line.
THEY’RE going to have to respond to THEIR issue or the customer is going to go THERE and whoop some ■■■!
well the service dept never got back to me with a shipping label. They wont send me a mag release and barrel to try to fix it on my own. i go in for surgery on tuesday and wont have time to deal with for weeks after that. I offered to even buy the parts but they wanted 75 bucks for a barrel and you can buy the exact same barrel on ebay for 40 bucks. I spent the time and money into running over a 1000 rounds through this gun and am leary on sending it in. Other then the mag drops it ran like a top and i dont want to start all over testing if they send me a different gun. Plus id have to pay my ffl dealer for the transfer. I also dont want to go through the hassle of shipping it back just have have them return it saying theres nothing wrong. Had that shuffle with ruger a couple times. Dont really understand it it would probably cost them 20 bucks to send my the parts and it would cost that much to have ups pick it up and ship it back to me. Im about out of patients. Ill wait till tomorrow to get some results or a shipping label and a sceduled pickup on monday. If not then screw it. Boge Quinn of GUN BLAST is a good friend of mine and ill just write of a review for him to post. Looking right now like a gun that is for someone who buys a gun and shoots a mag or two then sticks it in a drawer and brags how reliable it is. Not a gun that is going to hold up to 5k round count. Curious if anyone on here other then psa has put a 1000 rounds through one. ive got 13 ars ive build from there stuff and probably built that many more for others or that i gave away and was always impressed with the bang for the buck with there stuff. But im not to impressed today.
I can promise you that a barrel off ebay for $40 is going to be junk. Dont buy gunparts, things you trust your life with, off ebay.
They wont send you a free one because if they did someone would eventually try to scam them for resale. Without sending in the gun they cannot correctly diagnose the issue, and sadly we live in a world where they just cant take your word for it.
I am having someone reach out to you within the next hour. I pray your surgery goes well and your recovery quick. We will diagnose and fix your pistol and send it back. We apologize for the inconvenience.
