Ain’t nuttin wrong with dat! I use that stuff on my muzzleloader every year. It works great. Still have some wrapped around my climbing tree stand that’s been there for a few years now.
I have your tile in my kitchen…
Also, how do you like the acog on it?
I love it! Trijicon 4x32 acog cannot go wrong! Green reticle. I’m all about it! Great for any distance, up close or a little further out.
Another beautious beast!
Nice……it’s going to spoil you……then it’s going to make you forget about that skinny 5.56 girl.
Post more pics as you shoot & accessorize it
aww he’s cute!!! the rifle is nice too…
Finally able to get my KS47
, from ordering to delivery has taken roughly a week. Amazingly UPS hasn’t screwed up the order deliveries yet.![]()
Does anyone know is there a operator’s manual available for this rifle? Got it as parts is why I’m asking.
Best information on the rifle is on this forum; KS-47
2nd best information is on YouTube.
Luckily the KS-47 only has 4 operator used controls:
- Charging Handle
- Switch for SAFE & FIRE
- Trigger
- Magazine release
Beyond that….there is quite a few users out there online that have experimented and exchanged parts and know what works, what doesn’t and if it can be modified to fit and work.
The KS-47 is a hidden secret and it’s a wonderful platform to shoot 7.62x39. It has a cult following. The KS-47 requires “more involvement” than the typical AR. But if you put in the dedication and time into operating it……your going to come out putting he KS-47 on the throne in your gun safe.
Your fortunate to own one !
you keep talking like this and i’m going to have to eventually end up buying one. i keep saying this and i keep meaning it… its just things keep getting in the way. lol. i do want to build a ks47 pistol though. i think that would be quite wonderful.
Good looking gun there. You can shrink that 2 MOA after you install a great trigger. The PSA trigger is not bad……however because it’s an AR, there are a number of GREAT triggers out there that will improve the your accuracy and precision.
I love my KS 47…but after installing a Geissele SSAE trigger, it elevated my KS-47 to the next level……absolutely superb control. And YES Precision!...although it’s only a 10.5 inch barrel……it IS capable of precision out to a reasonable distance for that 7.62x39 cartridge.
Most people are not shooting this for long range accuracy……but within its “working range” from zero out to 100 it is capable of 1.5 to 2 inch with a red dot. The real limitation is the optic covering your bulls eye. If you have a LPVO with hold over marks….you can extend its working range further with confidence at 150, 200 and 250. I have not experimented beyond that range. 99% of my shooting is inside of 100 meters. I have taken a few shots at 150 with surprising accuracy……and it’s that surprising accuracy that builds confidence.
I purchased an aftermarket barrel for my KS-47 thinking that the 10.5 inch barrel would not perform to my expectations. Before changing it….I wanted to shoot the 10.5 inch barrel for a baseline comparison against the new one. I was totally wrong thinking the 10.5 was inferior. I was happily surprised and impressed with its accuracy……the more I shot it….the more I realized that I was completely wrong thinking the 10.5 was too short for optimal performance. That extra barrel is sitting on a shelf collecting dust……unneeded.
A good trigger and a good optic transforms a good KS-47 to a great one.
After shooting this 7.62 platform….you fall in love with the POWER it has.
It has more recoil than the 5.56….but the recoil is NOT harsh at all….it’s just enough to let you know that this is no skinny 5.56…….THIS is a stronger more powerful round……and it feels satisfying.
Add a suppressor to it….and (Que up the angelic music) it will become your “Go-to-Gun”. The suppressor on that 10.5 keeps the overall package compact and dynamic movement comes instinctively.
on top of all the above……the cost of the ammunition IS probably the least expensive of all the working guns in its class
+1 everything above.
I absolutely love mine, and it came to me by chance. I haven’t taken it across the hill yet, but if I remember I’ll make a quick clip this weekend for funsies. It really is a great shooter.
Trigger got upgraded to a LaRue and 100% worth
762commie AR is pretty nice, but leaves you desiring a 762nato build like your pistol… imo
beautiful gun there sir… love it.
well its funny you say that, as i have built a 7.62x39 ar pistol too… just havent had it out at the range yet sadly. lol.
Just walked in the door w my KS-47 and immediately installed some handrail accessories and a Ambidextrous charging handle. Unfortunately some duffass put a 5.56 AK magazine in the box instead of a 7.62 magazine. Good thing I have 37 already.
Whoa whoa…why would PSA have 5.56 ak mags…is it time for the 101?!?
On topic, looks great. What charging handle is that?
