Are ya’ll using Loctite to mount Doctor and RMR plates on the slide and red dots to the plates? Or just tighten it down and call it a day?
Thank you Sirs.

Blue loctite so you can get it out if needed.
Main thing to do is clean/degrease the parts and the screws, use Blue sparingly. I have sometimes had to heat the part to remove so be very careful if you do want to remove the screws and check the fit of the tool to the screws.
Red Loctite torqued to 110 ft lbs

Haha thanks guys. Time to get with the times. I’m used to metal pistols with metal sights and no accessories or rails to speak of.
Modded meant change the grips. Heck these new fangled handguns have all kinds of bells and whistles but they did away with grips ![]()
You have to heat red Loctite to 500 degrees F to release it. I wouldn’t want to take a blowtorch to my gun or optic.
Blue should work fine, but technically Purple Loctite #222 is the correct one to use on small fasteners. It maintains more surface area contact than blue does. Most everyone has blue in their toolbox already, though.
