What are torque specs for barrle screws?

My 2 screws on the right side that holds the barrel in backed out again. I put on some blue lock tight then gave it a hand snug. How much torque should be applied.? Are the threads (male and female) a good hardend steel? Id hate to strip it out. The other side never backs out but the right side does so slightly. I used blue locktight. Although I figure the heat right there is too high for blue. Should i use something else or nothing at all??

Those screws shouldnt be backing out at all.

The screws are about 1/4 to 3/8" long t25 torx. Id think they should be a little longer to hold a barrel. Do u know where i can find torgue specs. Psa doesn’t have a tech support hotline.

Also, make sure you’re removing any trace of oil or grease prior to using Loctite. The surfaces have to be absolutely immaculate for the Loctite to work properly. I like to hit the holes with a little blast of brake or carb cleaner and drop screws in a little puddle in a soda bottle cap of acetone prior to using Loctite.

Post a pic of exactly which screws you are talking about

Purple Loctite #222 is the proper one for fasteners smaller than 1/4"/M6 diameter.
Blue #242 is for 1/4" to 3/4" (M6 to M20) diameter.
It’s not clear which fasteners you’re referring to, though.

T-25 Torx should be torqued to 15.9 to 19 Nm. You will have to convert that to inch pounds if you have imperial tools.

Thanks, I took apart and cleaned some nasty greasy gunk out of there. Gun scruber and blue loctit. I did a hand snug probably a good bit more than 12.9 newton meters. I did all this previously before the helpful replies came. At least now i know. About 15 inch lbs i guess. I shot 20 rounds through no movement. But will need some more rounds through it. I

I’m still hung on this? We talking about handguard hardware? If not please advise
