I am waiting on the Vanquish which is backordered. Looking for another barrel to get the build complete. Can come one tell me if this Faxon Firearms 8.5 work?

I ask because the description says Glock/colt feed ramp. Not looking for anything super nice/expensive. It is just to get me through and be a back if I want to switch things up. Thanks in advance.
From what I read it will, but I would ask them to be sure. I am a huge fan of QPQ finish. It’s extremely close to chrome in hardness and lubricity without a sacrifice in accuracy. Although a lot of the chrome lined technology is getting way better with process improvements.

Yes that should work. I beleive Faxon puts “glock/colt” compatible in the description so that people know it will work with either. They use more of a modified feedramp based on what Rudy at Macon Armory first developed in blowback PCCs.
Also remember that ar9 barrels are measured different than ar15 barrels. An 8.5" barrel will actually be 7.5" if measured like an ar15 barrel because it doesnt have a separate barrel extension.

All barrels are measured from the face of the abutment in a locked firearm (the face of the bolt, revolver frame or shotgun lumps) to the crown of the barrel. This is per NFA

Correct. But ar15s have a bolt that enters into the chamber. Ar9 and ar45s do not. Hence why they are measured differently. A 16" ar15 is closer to 17" total. An 8.5" ar9 barrel is 8.5" total, with only 7.5" being forward of the upper receiver.
