My upper just arrived and I’ve temporarily mated it to my pistol lower. Overall I’m very happy with the initial quality and the savings.
It’s definitely a blem, but my planned riser plate and Romeo 7 will hide the majority of the defects, if not all of it. That’s all I can find, some cosmetics on the rail…
My oldest will be 18 in less than a year. I foresee a blem rifle in his future to get him into ARs.

I like it. Rail covers wherever the riser doesn’t cover the blem. Or maybe a camo paint job. Maybe some touch up. Whatever, It’s a good looking rifle.

It should look real good when done…
Looks the same as when you swap optics. It was gonna look like that in a week anyway.

That’s the upper I am going to pair with my new PSA MOE lower I bought a few weeks back. I want the black (blem) one, but it’s $30 more than FDE. Yes, I’m a cheap bastard… I may just just spray it black.

My AR pistol is all black. I wanted to do a black, FDE mixed rifle this time around.
I like the FDE and ODG colors. I was leaning towards ODG, but I always go back to basic black. In the military, M-16 black. Beretta 9mm, black. When I flew on the B-52 as a gunner, Four .50cal Browning M-2s, black. 20mm M-61A Vulcan, black… Boring but menacing… I do admire the different color schemes, some camo and custom stuff. I did own a S&W 626 4" .357 that was hand polished SS though. That thing put out an 8’ diameter x 15’ long flame at night!

I was torn with all black. I like it.
I Love .357s
I had a 686+ I foolishly sold back in the day. Got a GP 100 now I really like, both 4” in brushed stainless. I really want that S&W M&P R8.

Is the rail cover interchangeable with the classic ones if I decide I wanna switch it up?
Yes, you can replace the MOE handguards with the standard/classic handguards or any other “drop in” handguards EXCEPT Magpul Slim Line handguards.
Magpul designed the slim lines to require a round front handguard retaining cap. PSA (and everyone else) uses a triangular retaining cap on rifle and midlength uppers.
