New Red Wood Krink

Damn, I was hoping to get a field report.

I’m just happy my SBR paper work arrived!

Did anyone figure out what optic mount to use on the Krink?

I’m still looking for something for mine with no luck. The Midwest Industries side mount won’t work because the rear sight is in the way. Texas Weapon System said they didn’t know if theirs would work or not but Brownells sales them and they said it wouldn’t work. Mine is 5.56x45 and yours appears to be 7.62x39 so I don’t know if that makes a difference in what will work or not. If you find something let me know.

Klayco47 on youtube has one and I asked what mount he uses and he said it’s the, “RS Regulate Rear Biased AKM Mount” and also, there is a review on this, " SOVIET ARMS 5.56 KRINK TRIANGLE SIDE FOLDING PISTOL, REDWOOD" and the guy in the review has a picture of his saying, “If anyone is wondering yes the Texas weapons system dustcover fits the PSA krink very very well.” So I assume both of these will work. I may try the RS Regulate mount, but it looks like you also need some sort of adapter on top of that the more I watch KLAYKO47s video. I need PSA to come up with something, or make a list of compatible parts for this thing

Yeah we need to keep bugging PSA until they endorse a particular dust cover. I’m hesitant to do anything until I’m 100% sure I have one that fits. As I understand it the stock dust cover is hinged with a pin that has been peened on both ends and that has to be removed. If I remove that and don’t have a replacement then I’m screwed. I read somewhere that the TWS cover comes with a pin kinda like the takedown pin on an AR.

Iirc TWC usss a pin and circlip.

So I just ordered the RS Regulate AK-302M Rear-Biased Lower Scope Rail - AKM and the RS Regulate AKRK Mini Picatinny Mount. That looks exactly like the setup KLAYCO47 is using on his PSA Krink on Youtube. Remind me in a week to come back and tell you if it works lol.

If you want to order for yourself, I recommend ordering the mount on Primary Arms, it’s only $114.30 or $110.49 with ID.me military discount at the moment, but you will need the Upper Mount they sell. Depending on what sight you’re running they might have a specific Upper Mount for it that attaches to the AK-302M Rear-Biased Lower Scope Rail (known as a Lower Mount).

I’m running a Holosun SCRS which uses the Holosun 509T footprint so I got the RS Regulate AKRK Mini Picatinny Mount, but they also have a longer picatinny upper mount, trijicon, aimpoint and burris upper mounts.

I’ll probably stick a Vortex SPARC AR on it at least for now. I have several of those in the parts locker that I bought from AR15Discounts when they were on sale so all I will need is a standard picatinney 1913 rail.

Did you get and whats the verdict?

Finally got my krink today… anyways, my setup works! I got the, " AK-302M Rear Biased Lower" and the, " AKRK Mini Picatinny Mount" both made by RS Regulate. They fit perfectly. I mounted a Holosun SCRS red dot onto a, " American Defense Manufacturing Holosun 509T QD Mount" and it fit like a glove and is very sturdy. Perfect setup in my opinion.

That setup is definitely on my short list as soon as funds become available. Thanks for posting.

Finally shook some extra change loose and got the mounts on order.

very nice! just got mine the other day but its been giving me issues

What kind of issues are you having and are they with the krink or the optics mount?

sorry with the krink. Just took it to the range today. Ran two magazines just fine then it would not go all the way into battery for about 8/10 of the ammo i brought.

What ammo?

First 2 mags were a mix of AAC and winchester 5.56 (55 grain). Then i ran some .223 pmc bronze and thats where issues started. i have lube the crap out of the all mating surfaces and it seems to have gotten a bit better at chambering. going to the range today or tomorrow to see if it fires better

Its not uncommon for a new firearm to need a breakin period of sometimes up to 500 rounds. I hope your issue sorts itself out.
