Not sure if anyone has the answer to this, but I was going to purchase an AK-P, but looks like PSA cannot do that - anyone familiar with when this was put into place?

I have a few AKs, 2 ARs, but nothing pistol caliber in either platform.
Welp, maybe it’s a typo, I don’t see this rule on any other websites(gun broker for example)

AK pistols are way more cumbersome and heavy compared to any AR pistol imo. To me an AK pistol is fur range fun not serious use. But maybe thats why theyre restricted there, low hanging political fruit. I.e, first the braces then the then the pistol grips, followed by the the hand gaurds…

there is extra paper work on the dealer side but shouldn’t prohibit PSA from shipping to a dealer.

I went to my local yesterday, and they had 2 ak pistols available; they were 7.62 variants though, pistol caliber AKs aren’t really common, aside from PSA making them.
I primarily want one to add it to the collection. PSA is truly an American brand and I’ll support them 100% …. plus they’re nice to my wallet 
I saw on YT the Govenor celebrating passag of a new a new ban that flies in the face of SCOTUS 2A rulings. Just like predicted in the good book, last days filled with lawlessness divided against itself.
Most local shops with pistol AKs in stock usually get in the NAK-9. It’s half what a AKV is but they are cool and take the Glock mags. Maybe ask if they can get one in.
Hopefully PSA could ship them there thou.

I went to my local on Sunday to pick up my Sabre and I got to talking to my regular rep I deal with. She said they’ve sold AK pistols recently.
I tried calling/chatting but it didn’t seem worth taking up the queue for others with more serious claims potentially.
I posted on ar15 also, I’ll see if that gets a response.

I received a reply from Compliance. Please see page four, chapter 28, letter i. Quite a few of our AK pistols are over 26" which according to MI law would make them an SBR. This is why our compliance department made this decision>
