No sales Tax on Firearms purchases

Thought that the sales tax rate of the state the purchaser resided in, was the rate an online business would default to. Apparently not. We need a business in West Virginia to step up and take advantage of the tax holiday on said Ammo and Firearms sales.

Nice! WV resident here as well, so hello fellow Mountaineer. Was this applied automatically at checkout, like you placed this order recently and didn’t have to contact PSA for a refund or see what the deal was?

@Josiah_PSA or @Josh_PSA. I’m a new member and can’t DM yet, however after seeing this thread for WV residents, I just purchased firearm and like to get Sales Tax refunded. If you DM me, I can get you my order #. Thanks.

@Anthony_PSA may be able to help once he is back in the office. Josh is no longer with the company.

Good evening @Anthony_PSA @Josiah_PSA, was hoping you could handle refunding the tax collected on an AR ordered to WV. Just joined the forum so you’d have to message me first

Just discovered this. Outstanding.

It looks like PSA is still collecting sales tax on WV residents on firearms. :frowning:

I’m a transplant as well. I really like living here.

So if you don’t live in SC and order a rifle online to be shipped to your ffl, psa is supposed to refund the tax they charge right? Or am i missing the whole point. Tyia.

I beleive that is for WV only.

I thought that might be the case. Lol. If i Google search the topic and look to see where or why we would be charged sales tax from a business out of state… im in florida… i can’t find much… i found this topic… lol. … but my online business does not charge sales taxes to any state other than our own state. That’s how it always worked… maybe im friggin clueless here  be gentle :flushed: :pensive:  i thought PSA would have to have a location here… but they don’t… do they? Just wondering  why sales tax … is it just on guns? Is it all states? Taxes… sheeesh…

I got my rifle but i didn’t buy a blemished one and there’s like 8 spots on this ar that are obviously, shiney, gouges or scratches, i tried messaging psa through the website but have not heard anything back. Nor did i ever get a reply when i had an issue with the dagger i bought last year.

Figured id get, at minimum, the blem price…

Anyhow… any idea why they are so slow to respond?

The mag release is even sharp.

Those arnt really blems. Looks like it was test fired. Go shoot it. It will have more than that after 1 range session.
