Have yet to see a single open carry here. Work in Austin, TX, live in a suburb, abd spend weekends in the country. Not even my neighbors out in the sticks wear it outside. Not counting the rifle on the atv rack of course.

I would like to open carry here in VA - which is allowed - however Iâve seen the local sheriffâs deputies harassing people when they do on multiple occasions. I open carry when Iâm on the boat fishing though. Thatâs more about being on the boat ramp @ zero dark thirty and deterring some a-hole from making a fatal mistake.
All of my carry is owb since I donât have to worry about printing. Iâm sure there have been times that I may have âflashedâ. Of course I open carry on my property unless Iâm doing something that may get dirt or dust in my firearm.

So now NY wants to ban firearms on PRIVATE PROPERTY unless the owner posts signs saying firearms are welcomed. This canât be legal.

especially when governments (local, state, fed) and even education prefer to force someone to OPT OUT instead of OPT IN. This is asking business to OPT IN to permitting guns on their property. Bass ackwards indeed.
I am a hard core believer in States Rights. But itâs this sort of thing that ultimately makes national reciprocity impossible. Nobody can keep up with all of these different laws.
