Big case for 2A rights being heard this morning at 10am EST I believe.
Issue : Whether the state of New York’s denial of petitioners’ applications for concealed-carry licenses for self-defense violated the Second Amendment.
I believe there will be live streams available on YouTube.

I don’t like it when they re-write the questions either. But broken down, there are 5 differences between the two. It’s also DRASTICALLY different than how New York wanted the question phrased, which is a good thing.
The Supreme Court likes things simple, nice and tidy.
So while I’m not a fan, they also re-wrote Heller. Which was a big win…
But then they burned us for 13 years give or take on all 2A cases.
I’d like to say my position is cautiously optimistic.
Here is a better answer in less time than I have to type…
Make no mistake that while The Trace claims to be independent and unbiased, they are clearly Anti 2A. They do however do a good job explaining this case, and potential outcomes…in a slanted anti gun sort of way.
To me the most compelling result for the rest of the country to come out of this case of how the courts will or will not apply scrutiny going forward.
Will the courts allow text, history, and tradition to shape our future laws, as they absolutely should be doing?
Or will the apply strict or intermediate scrutiny?
Currently the majority of 2A cases are decided using intermediate scrutiny. If they’re going to go that route instead of text, history, and tradition, they should be applying strict scrutiny. And since there hasn’t been any guidance from the Supreme Court, laws are being written, enforced, and upheld based upon intermediate scrutiny.
Chief Justice John Roberts said there’s no need to show some special need to invoke other constitutional rights. “The idea that you would need a license to exercise a right is unusual with regard to the Bill of Rights.”
I about fell out of my chair when he said it. He said a couple of surprising things that could show he supports overturning New York’s licensing scheme.
Wish illinois foid cards would go away, they passed some backdoor confiscation law if it expires and you dont renew on time. Dumb dumbdumb dumb dummmmmmmmb.
Yep Eisenhower should have let Patton off the chain to go into Russia AND Truman should have let MacArthur unleashed hell on China. IMO-there wouldn’t have been a Vietnam War. It would be a different world
