Sued out of existence
Really.
As of this past Friday they have shut down, though they are honoring preexisting orders
They vow to be back in the future, but we will see
The problem really arose when they settled lawsuit #1. Suits piled up after that and they settled repeatedly, until they could settle no more
Read about that. You cant stop the signal and 3d printers go brrrrrr…
True, but that only works for modules and such, not the real inner workings. Trigger assemblies , slide rails, etc. I looked at doing some 320 eighty percenters. By that time, most things were unavailable, or not financially feasible unless you really didn’t want to do a 4473
P80 WAS the largest manufacture of 80% pistols, and now they’re gone
I’m sure there are work arounds, but I’m not UTD on Glock clones, and it’ll never get easier than P80 made it. Even with prints using standard Glock parts…
Unfortunate.
Very
I don’t think it was just the lawsuits. 3D printing and companies like PSA putting out $100 gen 3 compatible frames really made P80’s prices seem high. Do I want an un-serialized frame? Yes but not when it cost twice as much or more than a Dagger frame.
The 80 Percent Arms ergonomics was much better IMHO. But they only ever made G19/G23
