PDWs/Subguns

Always been a fan of lightweight firearms with decent power. Purchased a M1 Carbine in 1988 at a pawnshop/gun store in Lawton, OK. We trained with M16A2 in basic and AIT, but the surplus military market had tons of stuff. I do not remember seeing any AR firearms during that period or I was just blinded by that M1Carbine.

I still love my lightweight friends, and that journey directed me to the ROCK 5.7. IMO, the 5.7 round in this category is OUTSTANDING. I have a few 9mm PDWs and they match up well with Glock pistols.

I have not seen many pics on this category. Considering the ROCK magazines work in the LC Charger and LC rifle is why I purchased a ROCK pistol. My original plan was the S&W 5.7, but the price difference between the ROCK pistol did not make sense for me.

Anybody else a fan of subguns?

personally i am a big fan of them, i love my arv i built and i had at one time an ar9 with a 4" barrel and that was awesome… im a big fan of the 5.7 round and have been for over. decade… that round got me into Bull pup weapons, and the ps90. so im into those… i do hope to pickup a ruger carbine in 5.7 someday soon.

Similarly to you with your Rock and LC Charger, I run two Daggers and a PC Charger. All the same ammo, all the same mags. Very useful.

I bought a Dagger and an AR45 because they share the same lubricant!

Sharing the same ammo and magazines keeps things simple.

Especially for home defense. The PC Charger is one of the few PDWs/Subs/PCCs (whatever you want to call them) that doesn’t seem to have cycling issues (at least in my personal experience) as well. I love the idea of an AR9, but they’re notoriously finicky and I’m not paying HK prices for an MP5.

You can add the Extar9 to that list and it is around $400. Dependable, lightweight, and takes Glock magazines.

Man I love that. I’m not seeing it for $400 with that brace on it but still a nice weapon for a good price.

They increased their prices because they were not $550. There a few videos on YouTube about this PDW, when the gun was $400, and I already had a brace. Still not a bad price for what you get, imo.

Yeah figure the brace is $100 it’s gone up a little but not much. Still very reasonable.
