Pinned and Welded AK-P

I’ve been throwing around the idea of pinning and welding a muzzle device to my AK-P. Does anyone know the length of the AK-104 extended booster? I’m wondering if I could make that work to get above 16”.

@Josiah_PSA might can get you an actual length. I seem to remember it is around 3".

I think the problem you will have is that the 104 has a 12.5" barrel and the AK P has a 10.5" barrel. So, even if the booster is 4" you’ll still be too short. If you want put a stock on it you’ll have to get a tax stamp or new barrel.

The extended Krink brake is 3.7"

Just out of curiosity, what’s the point of making your Pistol have a 16 inch barrel?

Especially 5.5 inches of unrifled length added.

If the barrel is 16 inches, its not considered a pistol anymore. If you pin and weld a muzzle device to the barrel, it becomes a permanent part of the barrel and counts for the measurable length. This will allow you to have the shortest possible barrel, and put a stock on it. Without having to pay for a SBR tax stamp.

Just pin and weld a suppressor that will get you 16

Dont do that. P/W a can creates too many problems.
