PSA exorbitantly high shipping

I agree they have been forcing down the 300aac and the 5.7 market down BUT that’s also driving sales on their flagship firearms. Can’t feed it people won’t buy it.

I’ve always been a huge fan and user of anything CCI puts out, and in there favor they have always been competitive on the ammo I listed.

Yes PSA has been a huge leader in the ammo production market and they will continue to
be for a long time.

The enormous investment they have made is astronomical for where it all started and I commend PSA every single day.
You don’t have to make it all back at once.

Again I and obviously many more in here WANT to give PSA all of our money but there shipping model is broken vs the competition IMHO.

Hence my first comment about FJB. He gets in for 4 more years and this whole discussion is a moot point. Give him a lame duck term and he’ll do every thing he can to destroy what’s left of the 2A and America as a whole.

Let’s not move the goal post and talk about
today. PSA has been astronomically huge for their investments and contributions to the 2A movement.

But let’s stay on topic here
@Rufus and with all respect

$30 or $50 today is a big difference

That i dont know. Part of the problem is UPS is our only shippimg hub. Hard to compete when we don’t know ups vs fedex.

The other side of this coin I look at (to stay on topic) is we all need to keep in mind the prices are also feeding the new lines they’re ginning up. X39 last month. 6.5 just hit the website today, etc. etc. etc. I’m sure the 5.45 guys wanted those ahead of the 6.5. I would imagine prices will start to drop once they get their product lines fully fleshed out and not before.

Business rates are available for both.

They are no different than Coke vs Pepsi
being that they have comparable rates.

I know y’all have these conversations.

Sean can do a spreadsheet with lowering the ammo cost by say .03 and increasing sales by 1m rounds or wherever the price break works out to be.

OR

Flat rate shipping on 1000 round only

If the competition can do it then so can PSA.

Ok rant over… again

Problem is what to do when orders are not ammo only. Kind of like when you throw in a non free shipping item along with an item that says free shipping…the free shipping goes away. By and large orders are combo orders.

Man I’m just throwing stuff against the wall.
@GuitarGuy

Myself I would be completely happy with ordering 1000 rounds knowing for XXX price it’s ammo only allowed.

Sean could set a sku specifically for that.

Again I despise giving my money to anyone other than PSA because I know what they have and are doing for our 2A.

Pretty much. In the end I come out better. Win some, loose some, but it’s always better than spending everything on another company.

I agree with too much from everyone above to quote and reply.

In the end, it’s your choice. Every company plays this game with prices and shipping. PSA is like harbor frieght. Always buy on sale and never pay the regular price. Just this past week I bought a $99 trigger, next day it’s $249 and 3 days later it’s $174 and will probably go to $149 for some time then hit that magic $99 in a month, etc… I know PSA is playing the marketing game. I’m playing along with em’ :+1:

I’ve had to become more sensitive to prices
being on a fixed income.
Social security only goes so far each month.

And maybe it’s just me guys but I can’t afford to spend $30 or more a case.
Heck that’s 2 decent steaks or 6# of burgers

I have noticed when checking prices …
Sometimes that cheaper ammo is for Target or Practice. - MT brand
Tried it once, didn’t cycle my Colt 1911 everytime. Weaker ammo IMHO.

I used the above just for comparison.
124g is my preferred and CCI
Stay away from Winchester white box especially in a 1911

Yep - also weak loads. Many stove pipes. Bought it cheap back when - traded it in at the LGS.

I stay away from reman ammo also.

As do I.
If it’s not new and brass I don’t run it.

Except my commie/trash guns have to be fed…

Yeah I don’t have any of those but I should.
AK is on the wish list.

$30 is 20lbs beans and 20lb of rice, and enough Mylar and 02 absorbers to store it. Uh, so I’ve heard.

I also heard you can use your wife’s hair flat iron to make a really good seal on mylar bags before they are put into 5 gallon buckets with gamma seals.
So I’ve heard :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: @useful.easy.address

I like your math skills also.
