PSA Gen 4 9mm FRT

I’m planning to pick up the Gen 4 8” this weekend at a PSA event here in Virginia before the ban goes into effect. It sounds like the RB FRT works with minimal modifications, mainly the buffer tube and weight. Has anyone had any luck with any other FRT that is drop in ready?

Look at the Partisan. I won’t buy Rare Breed because they keep suing other FRT manufacturers.

I have one [RareGreed]. I won’t throw it away, but I won’t use it either.

He’s never getting another Dime from me, to be sure.

Highly suggest watching Doug “blowback9” on YouTube. A wealth of knowledge that helped my FM9 w/ARC-Fire V1, now they offer V2. My FM came with the A5 buffer tube. Timing shims and titanium firing pin was all l needed thanks to Doug! Good luck on your purchase!

RareGreed is a phenomenal play on words. Bravo

I wish I was the one who coined it, but no…

I will and thank you. What kind of modifications did you find you had to make or was it good to go with the Partisan?

Thank you! I just started watching him. Glad to have this resource!

Definitely noted. Do you have a brand you recommend?

Its also a cassette drop in. Modifications depends solely on the particular gun as far as buffer weights, upper clearance, etc.

If you’re looking for a cassette-style dropin FaRT Trigger - no, I don’t. Except for the RareGreed I bought when DeMonico first launched them (some time mid ‘21, IIRC), everything else I have are Super Safeties.

And as far as those goes - I say, “Pick one and goforit”.

I see Partisan has re-branded to The Trigger Company

I have a RB and 2 Disrupters and I have no function issues with any of them. I will say the RB anti-walk pins don’t get as tight as I would like. There is a little side to side play when the screws are tight. Also I am running H3 buffers in all 3 guns. BTW, I have no problem with RB. They are just doing what they agreed to with BATF to continue selling their products and get their customers property back that they had forfeited to the government. We all have our opinions and you know what they say about options.

Trying to sue other FRTs out of existence isnt being a friend to the 2a. What they should have done was tell the atf to pound sand.

I get they are suing everyone, just like they are pretty much required to do with their agreement with the BATF, but are they doing it aggressively? Have any gone to trial yet? I’m under the impression that they are doing what is required at the bare minimum on face value but it’s all for show. I’m usually wrong according to my wife so maybe it’s wishful thinking.

They have filed multiple lawsuits and sent numerous c&d’s. Other manufacturers have had to retain attorneys to fight. The owner of partisan has already spent many thousands.

What if Colt were to sue every AR manufacturer because they make ar15s? Would yall atill support colt over PSA/Geissele/KAC/BCM, etc?

This is a different situation. To my knowledge BATF never filed an injunction against Colt to force them to stop selling AR15s to the public or contacted customers of Colt and required them to surrender their ARs to the government. If Rare Breed had not settled with BATF it seems to me all AR FRTs would be illegal and Rare Breed and Partisan and others would be history. We can agree to disagree.

Rare Breed wasn’t the first one to make an FRT. Hoffman was. Rare Breed has claimed patent rights on something they did not even develop or make. Agree or not, that is just wrong and is against the spirit of the 2a.

Over 50 lawsuits, and now RB is being sued after putting gps trackers on vehicles.

They’re naming people in Lawsuits that are about to hit the Docket, who haven’t even been Served. And it’s not as if these people are hiding, or are even hard to find - they’re aware that they’ve been Named as Defendants, only by second and third hand word of mouth.

Rare Greed has gone so far down the Rabbit Hole, they can’t even keep track of everyone they’ve thrown paper at.

The Legal Concussion at the end of Demonico’s Fall is going to be truly spectacular.
