I see that there’s a specific piece required to utilize a Jakl Upper on a standard lower. Does anyone know if and how I can run a Jakl 8.5 300blk on my LWRC SBR lower? It’s ambi controls which is the reason for my pause. Thanks

I doubt you can. The bolt release has to be permanently modified to use the jakl (it has to be thinned).

As long as the lower is a Standard ar 15 Forged lower, (mil-Spec) the jakl upper will fit it. The lower on the LWRC SBR’s i googled just now basically are standard lowers, so i’d say yes they can fit it. The issues you’ll have is this. :

  1. you’ll need to get the Jakl Proprietary bolt hold open part, and swap it with the ar’s standard one.

2(optional) the back of where the jakl meets the buffer area of the ar-15 has a part that comes with the jakl uppers when sold that fits that area out to be used and squares off the area so that you dont have a gap for the “buffer tube area” to look bad / catch crud etc. i say its optional cause the firrearm still will work without issue without it.
