I’m looking to do a build & use the full-size Dagger frame with GritGrips magwell.
What I’d like to know from all you fine folks is what an FNG to the world of builds like myself is your opinions on A, which of the 2 above listed comps y’all think might be better (I’ll only get a Radian if I can get a blem), & B, what y’all think some of the better brands of ASSEMBLED slides might be. In my research & daily reading/looking on Reddit subs like r/GlockMod, I’ve found a few brands that I see a lot of ppl using. Some I’ve heard of, some I haven’t. I’ve previously mentioned I’ve had my eye on a Shadow Sytems G19.3 slide they’ve started making specifically for builds. It comes with their optic cut (which is still, to ME, THE BEST in the biz) & all their proprietary internals, but without a barrel or RSA. This is fine with me, since I plan to add 1 of the 2 aforementioned comps, both of which are barrel/comp setups, & I’ve found a captured RSA from NDZ that comes with various spring weight options (I’d be sticking with the OEM weight of 18lbs).
I’ve also read some good reviews of, & been impressed by the complete slides by Clint Corbin. And I mean REALLY impressed. They’re not overly expensive ($350-$380), & also come with an optional 1 year warranty.
I’ve also been impressed with the complete slides by Live Free Armory, Lone Wolf, & even AIM Surplus. Lone Wolf obviously has had a pretty good rep as an aftermarket Glock parts manufacturer for quite a while, & if I weren’t dead set on either a build or a Shadow Systems MR920P, I’d SERIOUSLY consider buying their internally compensated version of the Dusk, that they’re doing with Ranier Arms. I’ve also heard nothing but good things about LFA’s parts, & would be lying if I said I wasn’t KINDA thinking about skipping the comps & getting 1 of THEIR internally compensated slides. As for AIM Surplus, their stuff isn’t flashy, but I’ve also read nothing but good things about their slides. According to those who have them, their slides function well, are durable & priced pretty well too.
Lastly, I’ve discovered a veritable TREASURE TROVE of complete G19.3 slides on Delta Team Tactical’s website. These guys are more of a question mark to me. I can’t find much about their stuff on any of the Reddit subs, but obviously, there are TONS of other firearms forums out there. I know that WHICHEVER slide you order from DTT comes with an option for having them test fire it, which, to me, bodes well. But other than their MASSIVE selection, that’s all I know.
I also plan to round out this potential build with an Overwatch Precision trigger. Either the TAC or FALX & the minus connector no mstter which models I get.
Any & all input & info is appreciated, as are pics. Those of you on this forum have been EXTREMELY helpful to me in the past, so I feel it only appropriate to come to y’all with my research & ideas & ask y’all’s opinions & for your input.
