Range bags and asault packs

I too try not to be too obvious when moving firearms. Cardboard boxes for supplies, baseball bags or something that doesn’t look like a rifle bag for firearms (if they fit). I’ve already had neighbors bringing up topics I don’t want to discuss when I don’t know them very well (at all, really). It’s just prudent not to show the world your new PSA JAKL or whatever

They are not above recruiting your kids to rat on you for soon-to-be-illegal items.

My father taught me the same. He used actual rifle cases and such. But he always instructed me to get the car as close to the front door as possible. Make as few trips loading/unloading as possible. Dont make a trip if a neighbor is watering/mowing/lingering outside, etc.

It’s none of the neighbors business what you’re doing and what you have inside the house. Also when leaving the range, go directly home. No stops at the grocery store, etc. That leaves your items in a vehicle alone in a parking lot. People could follow you from the range.

Dad’s gone now but I still follow these rules and pass them to my kids.

your dad was a very smart man. my grandad tought me the same things as well. sometimes you just dont know about people, so you should minimize the possibility of problems with people as much as you can. better safe than sorry after all.

Not a range bag, I moved recently and wanted some way to get things out of the house discreetly

Seemed to me the tennis bag may raise a few eyebrows when paired with the handicapped tag hanging from the mirror. LOL.

That’s when you touch your ear, turn your head slightly and say out loud, “Target acquired, permission to engage.”
