I have the lower shown below, on my .308 my wife finds it’s recoil a bit sharp. She never complains about her 30/06 but her Ruger has a good recoil pad. Has anyone replaced this butt plate with a recoil pad?? If so what pad & how did it work out?
I use Magpul and it fits / works great. Same price as Amazon.

i dont have any on my ar’s however i used to have some on other guns, and the ones that i used were slip on rubber pads, that went over the back of the stock, and were easily removable as well as doing a great job.. the rubber really absorbed the shock/recoil.
