Romeo 7 Big Regrets

Optic just showed up, mounted it, ran around the yard sighting various things.

Wow. Big regrets.

Big regrets I put a Romeo 5 on my pistol instead of one of these 7s!

Wow! 20mm objective doesn’t come close to a 30mm objective.

color match is nice

i love my romeo 5’s, that said is the whole issue that its just too small??

I really liked my 5.

I liked it even more after adding the Juliet 3.

Then I looked through the 7. There’s no comparison.

20mm = .787

30mm = 1.18

So it’s about .400” bigger, over 3/16 on each side of the circle. It’s a much larger sight picture.

I am going to put one on my 300BO pistol.

Dammit :expressionless:

The Romeo 7 and Juliet 3 don’t line up. The 7 is taller. Guess I’ll keep everything as is on the 300.

would a spacer work, or is it to tall for the magnifier, but not tall enough with spacer?

I went through the owners manuals this morning.

The 7 on the QD mount, one of the reasons I liked it, is set at 1.54. Using the included picatinny mount and losing the QD, it looks like it drops to 1.41, to match the Juliet. Not my first choice.

But, it looks like the Juliet, set at 1.41, can be raised to 1.54 or 1.61 with included spacers.

I gotta dig through my boxes to see if that spacer is in there…

Sounds like the same issue with my PA SLX 30mm. It’s like the trijicon mro…magnifiers just don’t line up.

Back in business :+1:t3:

You can remove your front sight since you don’t have a rear.

No screwdriver handy…pretty sure one of my boys picked it up when I pulled the rear sight a few days ago when I did the test fit.

I left the front on because at I wasn’t sure I had the spacers to line this stuff up to make it work.

that looks awesome. is it better now, not as many or any regrets now?

Following up on this old thread. Considering the same exact optic setup. Still like how this works?

Love it

I have settled with the Romeo 7 on my 300 Blackout pistol, and the Romeo7 Juliet 3 combo on my 16” rifle as the permanent setups.

fantastic news. Can you still squeeze rear irons (mbus?) on there?

Yes

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback!
