Self Defense Liability Coverage

There are numerous self defense liability coverage offerings available, such as Right to Bear and USCCA. Has anyone compared the various coverage options from the different providers? I have not had the time to do the research myself. Thank you in advance for the information shared.

I use USCCA, I will admit there is many great options out there but went with USCAA because of their media presents.

I second @SaltyOperatorAZ, I have been with USCCA since 2015.

USCCA as well

Right to Bear is actually a sister company of PSA.

@ahontive a few great things about why Right To Bear is taking the country by storm in this industry is the combination of our price and coverages offered. UNLIMITED civil and criminal defense for $11 per month or $125 per year! Its a slam dunk.

we also dont have the recoupment clause in our policy like uscca. Where if one of their members is found guilty USCCA has the right to recoup those funds. Right To Bear does not.

we are also offering a forum discount at 5% off your RTB membership ( ForumMember) to help get signed up and get protected TODAY!!

You can not trust ANY insurance company to back you up when it’s time to file a claim.

Bad Faith insurance incidents are not a rare thing. It’s one of the PRIMARY ways that insurance companies make money.

@ahontive The following is purely my opinion, even though I am an employee that has a RTB membership, but the things that sold me on RTB were:

  • RTB pays everything upfront w/o having to wait for a reimbursement
  • No limits on civil or criminal cases
  • My Wife has the same protections after adding her on

Check out their site and see if its a good fit for you!

Hey @perryorth welcome to the forums! Good to see you here! Also, cheers for your boys (which im sure @GamecockOperator is also happy about) for beating my tigers this year. Y’all helped us get a new QB and a new OC!

Hello! and welcome to the forums @perryorth! Thanks for the information!

Another service you may consider. This is not insurance, but a membership pool. I am in the process of reviewing the various plans as well and am leaning toward this one, but I’m definitely open to others’ suggestions.

@perryorth, do I need to have the “multi-state” add-on to be covered in the event something happens while I or my wife are traveling?

Yes you would need to purchase the add on coverage option.

@perryorth welcome to the forums finally @perryorth. We’re glad to have you here to help spread the goodness of your Right to Bear! Everyone should check it out. And if you have any questions about it, just shoot a message over to Perryorth and he’d be more than happy to help you out.

perhaps, but i’d trust Right To Bear with it if i needed to.

I went with CCW Safe AND Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network. Also not insurance.

And check out the advisory board. I can’t believe that Mas Ayoob, John Farnham, Karl Rehn (who I train under) and the other luminaries would put their name to something that wasn’t legit.

I’m sorry, it’s been a long day and I’m not following what you mean.

Another USCCA customer.

ANY self defense insurance is better than none! I can’t tell you know many people I know who don’t see the value in it and say “Thry know the law,” “Self defense is self defense,” “The 2nd Amendment is my insurance.” Nope sorry, I live in the real world and the past 10-15 years and especially the past 6 years have shown is that we are targets of Commie Prosecutors! Self DeFense Insurance is just common sense!

USCCA since 2021!

Im a USCCA member and just sent an email to Right to bear self-defense association. Coverage looks less expensive but, im not able to get much off the website linked above.

Giving Right to Bear a hard look over the next week.
